Ya I didn't want to believe the hype, but this is the best RPG I've played since Chrono Trigger. It's really in a league of its own. The combat and builds are really fun and satisfying once you get a feel for the mechanics and the different areas of focus you can push your characters. You can really carve out a unique party. It's very dense at first, but feels amazing over time.

Add to the fact that the story is really excellent. Well-executed heavy metaphors, tragedy, sharp presentation, great voice acting, incredible music, the works. There was really no stone left unturned here. It's one of the greatest games ever.

this game is so charming. the right attitude, fun but very easy the more you level up, and a terrific art style. It's kinda baffling that the store thumbnail looks like fan art, though.

i love the obtuse point and click adventure influence too. short and sweet. played it twice in 2 years and got sucked in both times.

I want to like this game. I loved the first frogun. But something about this game is fundamentally broken. It feels like a fan mod. With some stages that feel legitimately frustrating to overcome basic obstacles and new mechanics that seem to bug out right when you are trying to jump across moving platforms, this is just disappointing. Whiffing platforming due to controls and mechanics bugging out on you is WAY too common.

You can't control the camera, and you will WANT to. You will most certainly have depth perception issues while platforming. The level design in some instances is straight up bizarre and feels rushed or deliberately unfair. Not as inspired as the first for sure.

This game is a surprising downgrade. I'm not sure how others see it as superior to the first. I do not remember feeling this frustrated with the first game. It's clearly a passion project and I love that but when there's another entry to directly compare to I have to say this game is only worth playing if you are a diehard of the first game. The last boss was fun I suppose.

I went for all collectibles and completed all the levels. So if you do the time trials and deathless challenges I don't expect this to take longer than 6 hours to complete.

It's a good fun game. Combat is simple and easy to understand (i used a shortsword the entire game.) Movement feels quick and responsive, though rolling will throw you into death pits nearly 25% of the time. Selling a bunch of expensive ♥♥♥♥ feels rewarding, the story (which seems like an afterthought, though that's fine) can be skipped nearly entirely, and it's got some nice charm.

A few minor gripes, which are not dealbreakers: The mechanics are not super well explained for how everything works, and the tutorials are barebones interprative pictures at best. shop quests can be confusing to figure out how to even turn in. there is NO replayability unless an update comes out expanding items past the 4th dungeon, and maybe combining all dungeon types. Bosses are PISS easy to beat, and once you figure out the "formula" for how to most efficiently clear each dungeon and make enough money to easily balance satisfying your hero/shop/town upgrades, it feels a little too easy. I wanted there to be more rooms in the final dungeon but without spoiling much, the 5th dungeon is a premature end to the game.

Still enjoyable, and recommended to anyone who wanted some structure to binding of isaac, or anyone who also liked recettear.

It's a fun, light-hearted game! It's got good (not fantastic) music, a decent set of strategy mechanics, a fun and mostly light story, giant mechs, and an engaging, but lightweight TV show budget simulator

It's a jack-of-all-games. It's a turn based strategy, 2-D mech fighting, TV show simulator.

Though, by the end of the 4th season (out of 5), money management ceases to exist because your set is bankrolled enough to fund the wildest expenditures with ease. Combat is also too easy, with some straight up OP characters and pants-on-head AI. The enemy will spread out it's attacks amongst your team rather than congregating together to fight a single weak enemy, thus losing is almost laughably hard. That being said, team acrobatics, team attacks, and finding the sweet spot with AOE attacks are honestly delightful.

It's not super strategic, but it's a genuinely fun and widely appealing indie game.

It's a sad game, and by end, a brutal as well. The puzzles are slightly repetitive at times, but overall a great game. Although I didn't sit down and beat it one sitting, I highly suggest you do. It's a short 5-7 hour game, and it's one hell of a roller coaster.

this game kicks ass. Plenty of clever rogue-lite-ey goodness and lots of fun weapons to use. Challenging, looks nice, runs well, fun, etc.

Early Access Review
this game is awesome! 5 hours in, and I'm having a total blast. I've played cards against humanity mostly, but there's so many possibilities for like every board game ever. We've never had that opportunity until now. This game really lives up to the simulator name. It's a simulation of playing with your buddies around a table. Crack open a beer and play some monopoly.

i'd say it's pretty worth 12 bucks for every board game ever.

brutal and unforgiving. Added to the very short list of "Games that are sorta kinda a little bit like counter-strike."
