When this game is working properly I thoroughly enjoy playing it. However, I have encountered far too many game breaking/run ending bugs and crashes to recommend a positive review at this time. Once these bugs are addressed, I will switch my review to positive, because the core gameplay is great.

UPDATE - it works better now

I am REALLY enjoying SkateLab so far. I've played tons of skateboarding games over the years and this one stands out as the most challenging and rewarding. It also presents the most opportunity for individual style and personality on the board. Devs are super involved with the community and are constantly listening to player feedback and suggestions. That being said, the board physics are not perfect and need to be adjusted in order to perform certain tricks (tres, lasers, etc. are somewhat impossible at the moment.) Despite this, I am extremely satisfied with the game offered right now and am really excited to see how it continues to evolve and take shape. Hats off to the devs!

For all the people commenting about boring/easy track design:

You have do the license levels to unlock the more advanced and difficult tracks.

Great core game. While there is a hacker problem people are complaining about, I've only encountered it once so far and the devs are going to fix it soon.

Scrap Mechanic is a wonderful game with lots of potential.

Pros:

+ Allows players to unleash creativity
+ Plenty of blocks to choose from
+ Beautiful enviroment

Cons:

- Not many graphic options
- Bugs (early access)

This was a really sad game, I think the hardest part of the game was trying to say your true feelings, but change your mind.
