seems to be lacking a lot of content is my main issue

gameplay loop is doing sidequests and field bosses and dungeons for gear upgrades. every other thing can be ignored and most important thing to do is to grind through dungeons. there is a daily limit for dhngeons because of energy for rewards and you can replinish with pots. this shouldnt affect most players because you need to go through like 8 runs to run through your free energy. but you prob get bored before you go through.
a lot of this is the daily chore grind.

what you are doing is trying to get gear upgrades with a lot of skill book slots and skill books. more explained below

gear is pretty unique. weapon then accesories slots and then the unique system soul shield. pretty much stats and its own set bonus. soul cores for weapons some of it gives a skill. and like two other gear slots that give ability skill buffs like more damage or lower cd stuff like that

you get all your base skills for free but there is a skill tree. to access the skill tree you need to get skill book drops from dungeon so pure rng. a lot of times you get green grade. blue. sometimes purple. sometiems legendary yellow. those chances for skill books bery low and you most likely or not the skill book you get would be useless

skills are enhanced through skill books that you slot into your accessories. and you can slot multiple of the same skill books to enhance the skill. the skill only affected by one of the skill books changed effects. example fireball you can change it to a big fireball that deals more damage to burning targets. or change it to a fireball with no cast time.

combat is largely action combat with range indicators and stuff and you can combo your skills fluidly and you can make builds that synergize effects. combat is pretty decent.

cosmetics is nice you kind grind for cosmetic drops change outfit through killing field bosses which i immensely appreciate

its really nice there is active antibot person in the game that is a person with a character banning bots pretty cool

like the artstyle and general game aesthetic of eastern martial arts which is cool. eastern fantasy is nice need more of these type of games.
music is aight. story? whats that?

i dont recc since not much to do and already a repetitive circle. a lot of the game is pure rng which would put people off since hunting that perfect stat combo. it is ok for some casual playing though.

concern with the p2w is that good purple skills people need cost a lot of gems so people can just whale out on gear and stuff which brings them an advantage in the pvp which apparently has no gear restrictions

i only really cleared 2 modules, the prologue and the first module that was under it but was still captivated by the game

what really stands out about the game is the story and rpg elements of the game. you get put into self contained stories that you try to figure out with your player characters. this game is very DND inspired with dice checks in combat and object/environment interaction with elements of the Chtulhu mythos but mainly about aberrant supernatural horrors. one of the biggest mechanic of the game is the event decisions you make which will determine what ending you will get that becomes based off your choices and what you do. this game actively encourages you to explore and try out different choices that you may not have chosen at the beginning. I highly suggest to use the save and load function and the game feels like it wants us to use the save and load feature to our upmost capabilities because sometimes failing a dice check or succeeding a dice check will change entirely on what will happen, for example failing a check you may not enocunter this one enemy npc but succeeding a check will have you detect the enemy npc and engage in a fight. enemy encounters in combat is also quite complex with several actions with a given % of success. this game very DND inspired in dice checking for several different enoucouters and combat actoins. typically each action you want to attempt comes with a dice roll or check based on your characters abilities.
the game is separated into what the call modules or pretty much self contained rpg stories that is connected to the game through the central game lobby hub area where you create new player characters(investigators) and gear them up. AFter clearing modules depending on what you find there are certain mythic items and titles you keep from clearing the module and achieving an ending to the module. and your PC can equip the diffrent items and titles. these titles give buffs/debuffs too
the art and music bgm for the different locations and also during enemy counters are actually really good. I really enjoy the art style of the characters despite most of the game being in pixel esque graphics.

another feature of the game is the ability to create your own modules, so you can create your own level and story which is pretty cool if you into more creative side of the things, and there are currently a bunch of chinese made modules made by players that are popular but dont have an official translation to therm

side note this was made by an indie chinese developer and a noticed a few minor translation issues in grammar but they are actively working with a translation team to fix these problems,

TLDR lovely story inspired by cthulu mythos. explore and investigate surroundings, DND style checks and turn based combat, personalized PC you can create and equip for diversity, player made stories included, lovely art and gfx, great bgm track

Early Access Review
an extremely fun rogue like game, it runs real well no BS you just go in and start whacking. more you play more shrines and factions you unlock. more you play for a certain faction more abilities skills gear and a few race unlocks.

you get red gems while killing mobs and use it to upgrade shrines which in turn increase your stats like more damage attack speed etc. complete maps to unlock silver and gold token currency which are used to upgrade your weapons and skills. these skills and weapons upgrades give it rune slots. runes are skills that gives like more damage more crit rate more crit damage stuff like that. your skills and weapons both can have runes added. runes get upgraded the more you play permanently for example incrase rune from level 0 to 1 permanently so for your next map clears it will always be at level 1.

this game is quite fun, it starts out as a turn based game with mini games that help progress the player and it turns into an idle sim on the side with a pretty extensive skill tree and upgrade system to very well everything to make things more complex

the core of the game is exploring the map through dispelling the darkness through combat or bribing the enemies with resources. bribing the enemies uncovers the darkness without a fight. As you unlock the map you discover new characters to fight in your party and other Quality of life stuff like unlocking a broom that makes you fly through the map at a fast speed. upgrade trees for everything pretty much and you can reallocate the points in your upgrade tree whenever you want FOR FREE???? which is nice

the combat is you have your party fight monsters in a turn based combat system. you can have up to 12(i think?) members in your party but you have to upgrade your party upgrade tree to allow more members in your party. you basic attack to generate energy and use that energy to cast skills. your attacks also generate special attack energy which you can use to have one of your characters use their special skill. each character has a style and a few recommended builds you can use for them.

the other big core of the game is playing the minigames to gain resources to upgrade your party. The minigames you unlock at first are pretty simple collecting falling apples, fishing fish and mining rocks. The minigames start out simple but you upgrade the minigame through an upgrade tree. The more you play the more of the minigame gets unlocked like new functions and skills you can do while in the minigame. The collecting falling apples minigame becomes quite fun because eventually you can move omnidirectionally and start shooting fireballs at enemies. fishing is a minigame where you throw a hook into the water try to catch as many fish as you can while avoiding bad fish. the mining minigame is just going down exploring the ground collecting the ores. there are total of 5(maybe i only have 3) minigames from what I can see. the three i mentioned and 2 others i have not unlocked yet

the minigames give resources and the resources are used to upgrade the minigames or thrown in the CAULDRON that well provide ability points for party upgrades and character upgrades.

visuals is a charming retro 8 bit ish gfx and the bgm is pleasant to listen to.

the dialogue interactions between the characters and npcs are witty and silly.

the idle part comes in the passive income of resource materials and the auto combat in the game

You can do turn based combat and min max combat with skills or just let it auto battle. You can customize how your characters attack depending on the condition like most hp lowest hp if you want them to use skills and their special skills(ultimates) and you can have them not use their skills during the auto combat

this game is quite charming and fun would reccommend to give it a try

TLDR: turnbased combat game can convert to idle sim, minigames=resources=stronger party=more of map=more stuff and functions. upgrade/skill trees for everything, characters, minigames, party. customizable auto combat function that gets quite a bit of depth to auto combat stuff

this is a mobile game that is a roguelike deckbuilder with a theme in japanese mythology. pretty simple and easy to get into, as you progress you get certain cards that get unlocked in the middle of runs and these are rare special cards that you can select from a list to put in your deck at the beginning and as you continue through your run. the combat fairy simple you use cards that cost 0-2 mana(so far at the beginning) with a maximum of 4 mana you can use. and some cards have bonus effects. some of shield hp that blocks damage of attacks and some of the card effects can retaliate damage if you block all the damage. you get different relics active items and amulets which does passive effects. the game pretty simple to understand but still quite fun to play

a turn based combat, you play as a thaumaturge, kind of like a mage who senses typically negative emotions and feelings of objects and people. game encourages you to explore the world since one of the methods to get exp to level up to advance your skills is exploration and collecting notes scattered around the world.
