Well worth the price for the nostalgia alone, how long it can be played, and what you can do with it. I'll happily spend $20.
This version runs incredibly smoothly, loading times are nothing like they were in the past.

The music is fantastic. The story and gameplay are good until you are on the 3rd or so playthrough, then it gets EXTREMELY repetitive.

I think this game would do better if there was more variety in the prompts and stories you play through, or something different thrown in each generation. Maybe one child learns better with hands-on work so you have them do a mini-game where they're building something rather than clicking on the same old web of traits.

The only thing I dislike about this game is that it was too short. It took maybe 3 hours to beat the whole thing.

I love all the mechanics in this game, how it went through the different eras of gaming (2-D to eventually 3-D) and integrated VR into the whole thing. As others have said, it gives me that sense of nostalgia for when I played games in my bedroom or living room.

Make more of these, please!

I've been waiting on this to come out ever since I found it on Steam about a month ago. This is one of those rare gems where the way the painting works is super realistic. I always wanted to get into painting but never wanted to sink money into getting the supplies. I've done a couple of paintings with Bob Ross so far and I'd say they turned out well!

Pros
+ Realistic painting mechanics
+ Developer seems to be fairly responsive
+ You can have a video up next to your painting to paint along with a guide (in my case, Bob Ross)
+ You can play this sitting or standing, and move the easel and other tools to a spot that works for you.

Cons
- It's hard to "blend lightly." I'm hoping this is either something I'm doing wrong or something that may get patched in the future.

Other
I had an issue where the framerate dropped considerably as I was moving the brush towards the pallette. There was a response from the dev to someone else's post about it and that fix has worked for me since.

Edit: Spelling

This game makes you feel so privileged to live in normal circumstances (a home, access to food and clean water, etc.). The game pulled me in and I ended up sinking 5-6 hours in on the day I got it. It's interesting to see how homeless get by, especially when you get to the scenarios with mental illness, the veteran, etc. When you beg for money, you get responses from people who say things like "You'll probably use it for drugs," and I would say irl "You don't know me, I haven't touched drugs. I'm trying to get money so I can live another day." Assuming this is the point the game was trying to make, they nailed it.

I think this game did a wonderful job showing how tough it is to be homeless. I feel like there aren't enough words to describe how tough it must be.

Having 20% of your purchase go to help the homeless is a pretty sweet deal, too. If nothing else, buy the game for that alone.

Early Access Review
Never seen a game focused on broadcasting before, which is pretty new to me.

Pros:
+ Not too many controls to handle
+ Developers seem extremely proud of their work and are receptive to feedback
+ Funny skits
+ Mechanics are somewhat challenging, can take an extra try or two in order to get a better grade (I scored a C grade on all three broadcasts and my husband got an A! WHAT IS THIS?!).

Cons:
- Mechanic in third broadcast is unclear with the shocks and it feels like the game is forcing you to get a lower score. I could just be understanding this wrong.
- Story in between broadcasts focuses on a guy we have no reason to connect to

This game is great and I'm excited to see where the developers take this. My father-in-law used to work as a military broadcaster and isn't much of a gamer, but this game piqued his interest.

Planet Zoo is my first encounter with the "Planet" series. I enjoy the thought that the dev team puts into the game and that they are open to feedback. It's still pretty buggy in some areas, but I'm hoping these will be worked out with some more time.

This game is very short, and only one pathway gets you further in the story despite it seeming to have so much potential with the other options. It was nice the first time I read it, tried playing differently a couple of different times, but it got boring quickly.
