Season 2 when?
Also, I literally forgot I ordered pizza I was so immersed in this game. 10/10 Damn good game, I want to try to do this season again to get better results.

This game is worth every dime. I am really enjoying my time playing this. The developers have really outdone themselves with this game! The game does exactly what it says on the can: Sneak in and accomplish objectives, or go loud and shoot up the place with a growing difficulty curve as more and more bad guys spawn in to stop you till you leave the map.

The game can easily be broken down in a few simple gameplay loops:
Underground base management
Team management
Budget and Inventory along with special mission loot
Agents Influence that shape or break your game based on your choices and mission performance
Legwork: One of the key game mechanics is sending a lone mercenary to go off screen out of your control to achieve objectives, find a new contact, or do any number of tasks that will help your team overall. Legwork is a critical part of the game's loop.
and lastly the easiest way to break down missions is this:

Hack - a lone mercenary is dispatched to attempt to hack a console within a limited amount of time

Smash and grab: You send in a team of mercenaries to loot as much as you can from loot boxes on the map before things get way to hot. When doing a smash and grab mission, you do NOT get paid for the mission. The payment is whatever loot you can grab. The idea is to try and make it worth your while. The more harm that comes to your team, the more expensive it will be to heal them after the they leave the map.

Hiest: Your mission is to go in and take key loot from the map and get out. Occasionaly you will be asked to achieve bonus objectives such as killing X number of bad guys, avoid causing the security level to go to high, or looting extra samples from loot crates before leaving.

Assault: This is a straight forward go in and kill all target enemies. The bonus objective is usually to do so in a limited period of time or to aquire something by hacking or looting if possible

Escort: This is a bit more difficult to pull off as you are required to follow a friendly NPC to his destination. Not only do you have to keep him alive but you are trying not to get shot to much yourself. This sort of mission almost always gaurentees you will have to spend several days of recovery once the mission is done.

There is more to the game than this but I haven't gotten that far into it yet to see what all it has to offer.

The music is 10/10
The gameplay is completely customizable so it can be as easy or difficult as you want to be. 10/10 Immersion and challenge

I was very hesitant to buy this game for a long time and was inclined to believe all the bad bashing from a number of people about this game. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the final build of this game is a wayyyyyyyy better than what I was told. For one thing, the voice actress who played Ashley from Mass Effect is the new voiced Protagonist for this game which is absolutly awesome!
So far I am really enjoying this experince. I don't really have an issue with the new PDA voice over, but thankfully there are a few options to change the PDA voice through mods.
There really isn't much need for mods for this game but there are some additions worth getting.
Unlike the the first Subnautica game, this one in my opinion doesn't need to be modded that much.

I am really enjoying this game and I recommend it.

EDIT: Having installed this on a new PC, and realizing how much time I have dumped into this game, I honestly can't speak ill of this game.... the only thing I can say is how sad it is to see it finally end like it does.

Though the argument I had about the repetitive scenes being a drawback, its possible to overlook given the quality this game has.

One thing I noticed in the Captain's Quarters deck, it can be really buggy and sluggish

I had a LOT of fun with this game. Spent many hours doing many different runs with it, until recently.

I don't know WHAT they did to update this game but going into it has been an relentless disaster. No shipyard, upgrading bases unlocks NO modules, resources starting out are already counting against you. No matter what you do, there is no way to stabilize the economy. You literally have no room to grow as you are thrown into a situation you did not even create. It just boots up that way straight away. I am forced to believe this is a list of bugs that the game is suffering from because, no matter what I choose as my starting choices before going into the game, its always the same thing. A horribly broken economy making it impossible to even BUILD a blasted mining base just to bring in your starting minerals.

Sadly, I will just have to accept that this game is busted and not recomend this to anyone. You are better off going back to Galactic Civilizations for a much better experince instead. Don't even get me started on the insulting DLC prices. This game is nothing more than a "Service" instead of an actual game. Look at how much money they expect people to pay FOR THE FULL GAME. I count DLC as part of that. Don't argue with me on that.

The base game alone should be fine on its own, and before, it really has been. It WAS fun.

Its been since Doki Doki Literature Club since we have been given a game that brings so many people together under such an incredible story!
This is no DDLC. But more like The Stanley Parable meets the movie "Split" with returning legends to voice the Narrator: Jonathan Sims and The Princess: Nichole Goodnight.

There is so much to unpack here and I am not going to.

Just go buy the game. Don't spoil it or be spoiled.

Don't like the elements or trying to hide from pesky sentinels? Either dig out a cave or go find one full of amazing wonders and expand it down there! Turn that into a literal base! Build-able Warp portals makes getting around the galaxy a breeze! Wanna just live out of your fighter and live like a Nomad instead? Don't care for bases? No problem! Summon your fighter on the go or even build a exo-suit and turn into a one man army mobile base!
The options are limitless!
Ever heard of Subnautica? Ever wanted to repeat that experience but all also explore space?
Research into underwater technology and discover literal water planets specifically designed to give you the Subnautica experience all over again! Build a submarine and explore the vast depths of the oceans!

Are you mostly in it to be the ultimate star fighter? Live as a bounty hunter or a pirate and take on missions tracking down and killing the biggest threats to the galaxy! Go toe to toe with hard to kill fugitives or pirate lords that command massive starships or even fleets and destroy them all for vast wealth!

The controls are a little wonky and could use some refinement. But I am having a lot fun with this early access. I am looking forward to what is being polished in the future!

Played this game for many years now. With an active modding community, they keep giving a reason to come back and play this game again and again! I adore Subnautica and is a staple in my games library
