Its like you took Elder Scrolls and combined it with the first Witcher game. You gotta love it for its jank, not hate it.

You do have to commit to one play style though since you only get one stat point and skill point per level up which kinda sucks, especially when all stats start at 1. The equipment requirements could do with some tuning too because of this. For example, you could pick up a weapon at level 6 but not be able to use its bonus or without penalty to its damage until level X. It doesn't necessarily hold you back but still makes your build feel like its constantly playing at 90% of its potential.

It really does need some optimization too. Its weird how it has a really fast load times but the game itself feels like its the little engine that could while you're playing.

Update: It might be worth waiting to see if they add anything make the 3rd act better. There's broken quest lines and just feels rushed overall.

Do you enjoy pushing people into walls?
Do you enjoy a simple but punchy art?
Do you enjoy cymbals accenting everything you do?

If you've answered yes to any of the above just buy Ape Out already
