-The first map i load into, there is a massive lag spike and the ground has missing topology, just seems overtly unpolished

-Progression mode keeps recreating my character upon winning duels

Was a bit hesitant when i saw this as i find vampire survivors and its clones to just be a bit too mind-numbing and boring to play, but with how cheap it was and how much i enjoyed their other game, no reason not to get it.

Did not disappoint.
Rumia is cute

Have yet to play full release but bought this just alone off the demo. If you are on the fence, the demo does a great job at conveying the game

there is alot of flesh and depth to the cards. aswell as a ton of them and the core gameplay mechanic of how your mana/energy works makes it solely unique to slay the spire, arguably more difficult then slay the spire if you take into account the request system which functions as a negative modifier to be applied to your runs in a similar vain to Ascension as well as a base difficulty modifier for enemies.

Great art, and animations for both base gameplay and card art, makes slay the spire look bland in terms of presentation, which is important if its what im looking at while playing, aswell as a massive card library and still more content being added to the game, this game essentially turns up the dial of intensity of fights to an 11, enemies have tons of variable debuffs aswell as bosses and elites having extremely unique mechanics

to make a comparison its like slay the spire is Pokemon TGC and this being Magic of Gathering or Yugioh
(source have beaten Ascension 20 multiple times on all characters)

Sound design and music is great, the thought of muting it hasn't crossed my mind unlike slay the spire which after 20 hours gets a bit meh hearing

Can honestly not return to slay the spire after this

Jaded and only working to meet Quota

This game has the most Stylish and fluid pixelart animation ive ever seen, i would outrank it compared to any other game, you can see the amount of love that went into it, its so good that i think many pixel art animators should take notes from tea, just to see what can be achieved.

But like, there is no game, and when the games length is about 2 hours when you are exploring every corner there is to offer, in its current state its not a game, especially for the price.

However its worth picking up at half price, even as a tech-demo of sorts just to get that taste of the delicious animations and art-style

Call it cope but this is one of the best "unfinished" games out there
