After Shepard's choice there's not even one line of dialogue that throws us a bone and straight up lets us know what's going down. Joker says nothing, he's not even screaming commands at an alive EDI or yelling hysterically over a dead EDI. Literally, the last voice you hear in the game is the voice of the Catalyst telling Shepard what his/her choices are. No one is asking questions in any proceeding cutscene, or crying, or screaming--how does the Normandy crew even know the Reaper threat was taken care of? OH WAIT they don't because apparently they fled the Sol system before the relays were obliterated which meant leaving Shepard and the victory fleet to die on Earth THANK YOU BIOWARE. ♥♥♥♥.

I'm with you in the bitterness for eternity unless I see some miracles. I've been thinking it through since I finished the game about 2 weeks ago and I agree that a "clarification" is as pointless as much as it is unnecessary. The ending simply needs to be changed, period. You cannot just put band-aid on a skull fracture. In a game that's all about providing details, why, in the last moments of what is supposed to be the epic conclusion to a widely lauded series, are there none?

Yeah, to say the ending was extremely disappointing is the biggest understatement I could make. It's obvious this game was not complete, or horrifyingly enough, Bioware's "artistic" intention really was to introduce, "explain," and have the player resolve a new, incohesive plot goal within the final 5 minutes of the game in only 14 lines of one-sided dialogue. Then explosions. It's unfortunate that the opportunity to properly end this series was squandered so entirely. No epilogue. No acknowledgment of previous goals, closure with characters and remaining races, or resulting consequences of your final choice. Some half thought out scene with Shepard (or whoever that could be) taking a breath is absolutely asinine. I love this series, but holy hell there's no love for the one ending we were essentially given.

To each his own. I love the ME story for everything it's worth, and if you don't no problem s'cool. I don't expect everyone to get invested in the universe like I have because the story's not going to be in everybody's taste. Didn't read most of your comments due to your spoilers though, but yeah thanks for sharing your opinions. Pretty much the only conversation I've had with you since high school, so that's great.

Not alone in the universe, no. What is it about the series that doesn't cut it for you?
