Its okay

The early game is absolute ass, and I am going to hold that against it. Do not pick this game up unless you are specifically looking for a time vampire that gets good 60 hours in. Its really solid at that point tho.

This game is actually just great, and I don't think it needs an explaination of why, but here are the factors. Amazing designs for the beasties, interesting puzzle like combat, incredibly well put together story and writing, and a lot of love and attention to the little details. Basically, it does everything a good RPG does and then some.

Maaan, I have flat out mixed opinions on this one. But I must say that overall, its just not a terribly great experience.

I cannot properly critique this without going into spoiler territory. But the new character is less interesting to play than just the base survivor. Their campaign is utterly directionless, and unlike the base game, its does not have a fun locale to explore and stumble upon the answers eventually. Its disconnected and fails to tell a story or give it a place, I held out to the end to write this, because I didn't wanna be unfair to it. But no, it absolutely fails in this regard.

It absolutely nails it in aesthetics. It legitimately sent shivers of terror down my spine. And took me aback with its sheer alien beauty. The soundtrack fill med with wonder, and made my heart pump during action sequences.

Not to difficult and the writing is really well executed and cute, making this a very approachable rogue-like for people who are just grabbed by its aestetics.

The art and animation is super cute and expressive, an absolute highlight of the game. But as a whole kinda blows to be honest. The game gives me motion sickness, the camera need to stay still, not wobble around all the time, and respect me when I try to control it, not fight me back resetting to its awkward default position.
