The best coop crewing game to date. Just the right amount of complexity to keep it interesting without being tedious and thr roguelite element keeps it engaging. Like first person FTL with sea of thieves mechanics. Looking forward to the 1.0 release.

It's requires actual teamwork with is engaging and really fun when everyone falls into their roles and works together.

The only warning: at the moment there are few if any public games available so you really do need to have a friend with the game to get the most out of it. If you and a few friends have the game its a great time.

Great game, really good depth and simulation involved.

It sits in a funny middle ground where its probably most enjoyable for people who have a bit of interested in healthcare.

If you don't have any interest/knowledge of healthcare it might just seems very abstract or un-relatable.

If you are a medic, it might seems a little dumbed down (still complex for a game but not as complex or realistic as real healthcare). Don't get me wrong, I don't think any game could capture this so it really is the best game out there in the healthcare space. Well done oxymoron

Tldr: It's kind of like the healthcare equivalent of a sports management game. Not as refined as football manager, but still the best game of its type available

Great game. It's one of the few turn based RPGs that's actually enjoyable with friends. Larian put a lot of effort into their games so as expected its a well constructed game with a lot of work put into it. If I had to give some feedback its that the first act is kind of a really extended tutorial and the 3rd act is very rushed so really the actually game seems like just the second act. There still tons of content but it just flows a bit strange.

Its basically SWAT 4 as you remember it. Really good with a few friends working together. The AI can be super aggressive at times and it could benefit from a difficulty slider but overall its a really tight tactical shoot that plays well

A mix Dragon Age 1 and Solasta with scale and story that makes the Mass Effects looks like a college project.

The turn based is really quick with no drawn-out animations or movement turns. It plays really well, and I haven't seen a story this engaging and easy to buy into in a long time.

The amount of voice acted lines and interesting encounters show a dedication to quality and craftsmanship far ahead of any other game to date (maybe excluding Disco Elysium). They didn't take any shortcuts and seem to have put in the hard work and time to crate an excellent game.

Well done Larian, really really well done.

If you like mgmt, building, role play or simulation games this is literally the greatest game of the last 10 years. The base game is incredibly well fleshed out and the DLC and huge modding community make the game infinitely replayable. Hats off to some of the modders out there, you can turn rim world into the best warhammer game ever with just a few mods.

If you like management games and enjoy the expanse/BSG there is a good bet you will enjoy this. Its a bit janky and the AI is inconsistent but there are few other games that give you this much scope to manage a space business.

The game really gets going once you get a few ships under your control and explore the map a bit. Do yourself a favour and look up some beginners guides and tip/tricks. The initial lerning curve can be a little tough to tackle but once you get the basics you'll be managing a galaxy wide corporation in no time.

Possibly the most entertaining and best balanced game ever made. Easy to pick up, very hard to master.

There's a funny community quirk with customization. There are thousands of customization options available but the "pro" players all seem to make some edgy decision to go with the basic plain octane with no customization. I hate to break it to you guys but if you're matched up against me you are no a pro so having a topper wont change things.

A super fun game that is certainly worth the price. If you want to keep supporting the studio that made this amazing game you can buy vanity items. Seems like a fair trade to me.

If you don't have this yet get it immediately, you wont regret it.

P.S. If I'm ever playing against you expect me to 100% throw shade ;-) GG EZ

This has scratched that classic RPG itch I've had since fallout 2. This is hands down the best RPG of the past 10 years. I have not seen such a well written and expertly crafted game in a very long time. The choices and story progression are so well done they makes the binary decision of AAA titles look quaint and gimmicky by comparison. Take not developers, this is how you craft a story.

If you like old school RPGs buy this immediately. DO NOT save scum or look up guides. Do yourself a favour and just dive in, own your decision and enjoy figuring out the game.

I'm hoping to swap this to the much coveted thumbs up very soon.

short answer: a good basic game with great potential that shows its shallowness as the game progresses. Could be amazing but needs a lot of work to flesh it out.

Long answer: It was very hard to rate encased as it seems like the basic are in place for a very good game but its just not near complete enough to be enjoyable. I appreciate that its a WIP but unless you want to contribute and provide feedback I don't think its worth buying yet. To their credit the developers provided a very handy feedback icon that is always available on screen so its super easy to flag issues as you find them. The whole thing reminds me of being a play tester in the 90s/00s which I guess has a certain unintended nostalgic charm to it.

The engine does work well and the character creation/wing idea is great with a lot of breadth. Right away I was able to create a character that was so weak he could not use a basic weapon yet he could run away from danger better than anyone. I even enjoyed the very first challenge of trying to figure out all the different ways of escaping the elevator. It felt like there were multiple ways to accomplish goals but unfortunately it ran a bit more linear as the game progressed.

The starting area felt alive and well designed but once the game progressed to other areas they felt like quite barren sections of map that were made for an particular purpose or set piece. It just didn't have that same organic open feel that fallout 1/2 had. I was hoping (perhaps unfairly) that encased could capture this open feel but it just didn't translate.

I like the idea of the story and it makes for quite a unique and interesting world but it just still feels empty and a bit flat with the current dialogue and options available to the payer. This is something I'm hoping will improve as the game develops.

I encountered 2 separate bugs where I could not leave a previously visited areas after the prologue section was complete. It seemed like the areas were left in by mistake but on my second play through it was fixed but the maps still had missing items that were not appearing. These basic issues keep popping up and combined with the set piece feeling of each map area it just kept reminding me that I was playing a game. It feels like a basic board game the way you move between these areas with specific tasks to accomplish. Some of the story was also a bit hard to follow. In the prologue section you are stuck in certain areas with a very clear objective you need to do accomplish but unclear instruction on how to do it. Unclear instruction is fine when its open world like the old fallout games but when you are stuck in a set piece map it gets quite frustrating.

I really do hope to change this to a thumbs up because I can really see the potential. If the developers can work on bringing these map spaces alive a bit more it will really make for a better game. The closes thing to a well fleshed out map was the starting base and even at that I had covered every point within about a hour or so. Add more content to these already well built places and you could have something magic. At the risk of raising a controversial opinion I would rather a rich scaled back story than a bigger emptier game.
