Nonexistent story with a boring MC. Good voice acting but the dialog itself isn't great. You end up exploring aimlessly trying to do a million random things with little purpose. Combat and graphics are excellent though

To say the final boss is tedious as ♥♥♥♥ is an understatement. If it was at least fun I would have kept trying but I just stopped after the first death, uninstall, and watched the ending on the web. I'm not going to let myself get angered by this boss. Game design on each new enemy just gets worse and worse. Sad it ends like this

They've removed Denuvo from a primarily single player game, good on them to listen to the community.

Now then, about the game. I was skeptical about how this game would match up to Doom 2016, and the start of it made me question that. You start out on your own spaceship some time after the previous game without much of an explanation on the story and then the combat cycle is changed up on you. But after I progressed a bit did it really start opening up for me, and boy is the game truly amazing. I lives up to Doom 2016 and I want to say maybe even better! It's wayyyy more intense! Once you get used to the new changes in combat cycle, it might not feel right at first, but it becomes a lot of fun. The story and lore in the game is amazing as well.

It's not without its flaws though. The new combat cycle always puts you in the need for more ammo which you can obtain by constantly chainsawing demons. Because of this, there is a infinite spawning of fodder demons while in battle which can get really annoying. Sometimes you just want to leave the big guy for last to focus on, but nope, another fodder demon spawned right behind you! Also the auto map tells you when the big fights are going to be, which kind of kills the surprise element of it all. There's little things here and there but overall these are mostly an afterthought.

This is a top 3 game for me even after those flaws. It's amazing non stop adrenaline rush of a game.

For those concerned about this game running for them. The following specs are what I've been running and have hit ZERO issues with: AMD Ryzen 1700, AMD R9 380, MSI B350 Tomahawk mobo, and 2x 8gig 3200 GSkill Tridentz ram. All drivers are also up to date.

Also for anyone concerned about if they should play this game with a controller vs keyboard/mouse as some people have mentioned they should do... I've also had zero issues playing with a keyboard and mouse, it's all been pretty easy to get used to.

Now for the game, this game is beyooooond amazing! I'm so happy I decided to buy this with all the concerns of this pc port people have been complaining about. This may be my favorite RPG ever. The game brings a lot of feels so prepare for that. Oh and the music is exquisite!

The only thing I would have wanted more of in this game was a larger selection of weapons, and special stats that come with those weapons and some more side quests. It is definitely no Witcher 3 in terms of how many quests and weapons there are.
