Slay the Spire 2 feels like the perfect sequel; familiar in all the right ways, but fresh enough to keep every run exciting. The deckbuilding is just as addictive as ever, and experimenting with new strategies makes each climb feel unique. You can really tell the developers cared about improving what players loved from Slay the Spire without losing its charm. Additionally, adding multiplayer was the nail in the coffin (if the coffin was insanely amazing) for what they needed to really ramp this franchise up.

It’s the kind of game that keeps pulling you back for “just one more run,” and that’s the best compliment I can give it.

Risk of Rain 2 is a masterclass in beautiful chaos where every run starts calm and ends with you sprinting at Mach speed while the screen politely asks you to stop stacking items. You begin as a fragile little space hero and quickly evolve into a physics-defying god held together by ukuleles, teddy bears, and pure panic. It’s tense, hilarious, and brutally fair in the most unfair way possible. 10/10

Vampire Survivors is what happens when a slot machine, a bullet hell, and a chaotic goblin brain all agree to ruin your sense of time. You start weak, blink once, and suddenly you’re a screen-clearing demigod throwing garlic, lightning, and holy books at everything with bad intentions. It’s simple, ridiculous, wildly satisfying, and somehow turns “just one more run” into three hours. 10/10

Dead Cells is a fast, stylish reminder that I am bad at video games... but having an incredible time anyway. Every run is a blur of rolls, slashes, and poor life choices, all wrapped in gorgeous pixel art and a soundtrack that makes dying feel heroic. It’s punishing, slick, and addictively smooth, somehow turning repeated failure into “okay but this run is the one.” 10/10

Brotato is what happens when a potato picks up six weapons and decides violence is the answer. You start as a humble spud and quickly become an overcaffeinated blender, sprinting around the screen while numbers explode and enemies politely line up to be deleted. It’s simple, chaotic, and dangerously addictive... every run feels like a science experiment that somehow ends in mashed potatoes. 10/10

Loop Hero is a cozy existential crisis disguised as a strategy game. You don’t control the hero, you manage his destiny like a stressed fantasy accountant, placing cards and hoping your math doesn’t get him obliterated. It’s oddly relaxing, deeply clever, and slowly reveals a story that makes you stare at the screen like, “Wow… that’s messed up.” 10/10

“A Fresh Breath of Cooperative Chaos!”

ARC Raiders is exactly the kind of refreshing experience I didn’t realize I’d been missing. From the moment you drop into its world, there’s this sense of energy and style that just hits different. The atmosphere is raw and vibrant; every encounter feels cinematic, every moment earned.

But where ARC Raiders truly shines is in its cooperative gameplay. This isn’t just another looter-shooter; it’s a symphony of teamwork. Whether you’re dragging a buddy to safety under fire or perfectly syncing your shots to take down a towering ARC, every success feels like a shared triumph. The game rewards communication, creativity, and camaraderie; and that makes every victory so much sweeter.

Visually stunning, mechanically tight, and full of personality, ARC Raiders captures the feeling of adventure with friends better than most modern titles. It’s not just a game; it’s an experience that brings people together in the best way possible.

If you’ve been craving something fresh, stylish, and built around genuine cooperation, then ARC Raiders is a must-play.

I don't have a lot of hours into this game, and my biggest reason is because of how comparably inconsiderate it feels to be a free-to-play player. The bank and bag space is very limiting (although I understand at some point you're able to upgrade that without paying), and when you look at what you get for being "VIP," it's a stark contrast against free-to-play. It's quite discouraging.
