Good game. First Rome is better but dated.

Outstanding.
70 hours in, probably 20-30 more to go. As soon as I finish I'll start a new play through.
Story is amazing.
Can't say how much I'm enjoying this game. Blown away.
Depth of choice and freedom is huge.

Vast improvement and a complete reimagining
Really enjoyable.

On top of the original deceit they've added a huge plethora of different ways to interact with other players and the world.

Item system, huge array of items. Crazy and fun interactiona. More dynamic world, you can really see the effort put in to make the world more interactive, vaulting, wall passages, destruction and modification of shortcuts, teleportation, a working lift system o.O. Gun play is here still, but no longer the main attraction, you have other options rather than brute force. Terror abilities, counters to common tactics like face camping terrors.

You can carve out a niche and really pick an item or play style that suits you. I've only just experimented with a few, mask, teleporter, cloak. Really fun.

The atmosphere and theatrics of the original deceit have been cranked to 11. The world feels rich and alive. The terror and pacing are spot on. And overalls the game feels quite balanced.

Cons, well I think the character models looked better in beta. And FPS needs a little optimization.

Also masks don't do anything and are pure theatre. Grow up.

Okay, yeah.

No one is getting banned for accidently stream sniping anyone. The only people banned are hackers and people that were stream sniping like 5-6 games in a row, and honestly you deserve it if you have gone out of your way to ruin another players experience in a way that isn't just playing the game as intended.

Pros:

The game is much the same as HR, expanded and fresh.

There is plenty to explore, alternate mission methods.

Cover system is great, few awkward situations.

Side quests are interesting.

Setting and level design is great.

Graphics are beautiful, 60fps, ultra, (6700k, gtx 980).

Can't be bothered to keep going the game is just good.

Negatives:

The dialouge is weak at times but the story carries through regradless.

Microtransaction are not an issue as I simply have not even opened that tab, never will, and others doing the opposite affects me in no way.

Don't care about the reskinned gun either so the DLC doesn't affect me. I prefer to explore and earn my weapons so just left them there.


Conclusion:
The game took a little time to grow on me, if you like Human revolution, you will like this. It's almost a second chapter, not sure I would spend full retail £40 on it, glad I paid £30. There is 0 need to buy the season pass, might aswell buy it later for the same price or less when the DLC is released and we know how good it is, absolutly no point buying it now, you get nothing but some praxis kits that make the game easy mode, might as well play it on easy.

Solid game 8/10.
