Could be better, but it's definitely in a much better state than it was at launch.

Is it the same gritty aesthetic we all know and love from previous entries in the series? No. But for a free-to-play game the updated skating mechanics are well worth a look. It's easy to spend a lot of time exploring the city and trick-lining, especially when playing with others.

A free mech-flavoured hero shooter that is (currently) well worth a look.

There are still questions over how the monetisation is going to be handled by the developer/publisher, but at 28 hours of gameplay as of writing this review I've definitely got a good amount of fun out of this game.

A game that I have supported since it's early development, purchasing the Supporter Edition when the game was nothing more than a poorly optimised alpha kill-house shooter with no content and big ambitions.

Whilst the game's gameplay may be great with its full release, I cannot recommend this game to anyone following the developer's recent decision to censor content in a way that detracts from the gritty portrayal they originally sold as their vision.

The developers, once ardent supporters of faithfully portraying the awful experiences law enforcement encounter every day (at one point losing their publisher over a refusal to remove an active shooter mission in a school), now self-censor their PC version of the game's content to bring it in line with their upcoming console release where they face a greater scrutiny from ratings boards.

My review will remain in place until this censorship is reversed.

Very much a game where the mechanics frame the social experience, and the social experience IS the gameplay.

...Oh, and the moderators are permanently on holiday.

Excellent.

Pretty good sandbox simulator.
