Early Access Review
Got it when it first came out and uh... damn this thing's fun. It's got the same kind of feel the first one had, but without the feeling that some items just don't do much or need high stack counts to be useful (except med-kits, which are still kinda.....bad).
The only downside would be the new FPS style, depending on who you are, and that, just like the first, I could see it getting boring and repetitive after a while. Still, for I think it was 20 bucks, 100 hours of play time is very much worth it.

Best w/ friends, though I say that about any multiplayer game lol.

Overall, the game has some good ideas, though there are some parts which could have been executed better.

the reall problem here is that, if you want to play multiplayer with more than 2 people, its not happening. It's currently bugged where if more than 2 people join a multiplayer match, the third is either inable to join or is kicked shortly after.
Another multiplayer bug includes: placing the capital, returning to the loading screen, and crashing.

I know other people have experienced more errors from this game including an inability to play single player properly, losing research, or even giving the enemy tech in multiplayer.

if the multiplayer function worked, i would be fine with the game, but as it stands, if you have 2 friends, youre screwed.
Im glad i got this during sale for about $12, that way i didnt lose more money to discover this.

I still enjoy this game because of its unique twist on the moba style and it's pretty adictive, but It would be better with a bit more balancing of nauts (and removal of ix/max but thats just my salt)

Pros:
--Gameplay: great, fast paced, keeps me wanting to play more, but lag can easily disrupt the experience.
--Concept: good, unique take on the MOBA genre
--'Heros' (called awesomenauts or 'nauts): good variety, each with his/her own unique
playstyle
--Music: good music and fitting with each naut (good, except for coco's spree. let that
burn) (fitting, save for a select few ex: nibbs)
--Good with friends: usually
--Interface: this was in the neutral section but i love the new interface for the title screen and naut selection.

Cons:
--Matchmaking: Takees a day and a half to find matches, especially if members of the party are in different countries. Sucks, but with such a small community ronimo cant really fix it.
--Playerbase: like mentioned above, small, and getting smaller the more time passes
--Dedicated Servers: what dedicated servers?
--Balance: some balancing is good, but some other balancing doesn't really fix the problem. I'd give it a 6.5-7/10
--Exp System: simply put, it wasnt needed nor asked for and just makes the game harder to balance.
--The Damage Meta: Damage is the best CC and most other upgrades dont help nearly as much as another 15% or 20% damage for a skill. I really wish that damage wasnt the general best loadout for every naut and that there was more options if you wanted to win but its hard to find a lodout that doesnt use mostly damage and still works well. Heck, even the main healer, Voltar, is rarely played as such. He is normally built with burst damage with healing on the side for teamates

Neutral:
--Match Times: fairly short (between 15 and 35 minutes usually) , which can be seen as good and
bad. this used to be about 20-40 minutes, but exp system made them a bit shorter. the whole
matchmaking thing normally makes it on the low end of this scale, or a complete steamroll
lasting between 4 and 12 minutes.
--Loading Screen: now changed to have a cool picture of the map you will be playing on
--Graphics: they've been getting 'better' over time, but some may not like the art style of it (lone
and clunk have their own graphics (personally i dont like clunk's new bite) and ronimo plans to edit all the older nauts' graphics)
--Character Backstory: Like most MOBAs, its there if you want to read it. they are fairly interesting, but in game do practically nothing, save for a few quotes.

Salt:
--The damage meta mentioned earlier: Everybody is an assassin, support nauts that originally was ment to focus healing? nah assasssin. This really ticks me off. I get that even supports need some damage to protect themselves so that they arent a free kill but geez, why do they need to rival the damage of assassin and burst nauts? seriously wtf.
