I feel there are enough essays on the Review page of this game to tell you why you shouldn't support this game.
If you want FPS with loot and crafting and ♥♥♥♥ in a post apocalyptic world, go play Borderlands.
If you want a post apocalypse RPG with nice dialogues, characters and memorable moments, go play any other Fallout game.
If you want to build settlements, go play City Skylines.
Each of these games do the things fallout 4 tries to do but better.

This game gets a lot of hate. Personally I loved it, the game, and the main character, Connor, is a really deep character.
The reason why this game gets hate is the super slow tutorial part, that lasts a good couple of hours. Once you get past that, the game becomes really fluid and fun.
Don't believe anything other reviewers say, make your own opinions.
Nothing is true, everything is permitted.

Early Access Review
-REVIEW BASED ON THE BETA-

I was with a friend, camping inside a comfortable little castle we had decorated into a fortress. The night went uneventful, and our camp fire was burning bright, enduring the cold of the canadian weather.

When it was about 3 am, we hear a car. My friend was busy crafting, so I quickly rush to turn off the fire. I hear footsteps.
Peaking outside, a fully equipped man shoots at me, I shoot back, we're both hurt, and I'm bleeding out.
I rip off my shirt to make a rag, which I then proceed to place over my wounds, succesfully stopping the bleeding. I keep hearing footsteps.

I had never been so tense in a multiplayer game before

Hours passed ingame, the night was still blooming.
When the sun started to rise, I go to the upper level of the castle, to check the perimeter. The footsteps had stopped a while ago.
The moment I peak out, a man with a rifle shoots at me, but misses, then I shoot back, and kill him. To that, his friend who was hiding in a rock, decided to run for the car. I shot him down too.

My friend and I quickly moved towards the corpses, and stole their stuff. Backpacks, food, ammo, AMAZING DAY UH!

I asked my friend if he had seen any more of them, he replied "No".
While we were organizing our inventory, a man with a rifle came from behind, shot me in the back of my head at close range, and killed my friend too.

REAL REVIEW STARTS HERE:
Unturned is one of the many offsprings of the DayZ phenomena, which slowly died with the release of a lot of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cash grab titles, unfinished games, scams, and other stuff. The multiplayer zombie survival genre quickly ran out of juice, and even his father, DayZ, slowly started to fade into oblivion.

Among the rubble, Unturned, a small game made by a young developer, came into Steam.
This title is, without a doubt, a potential king for this genre, only being held back by the obvious lack of resources of the developing team which I think is just one guy.

Graphics: Graphically nothing impressive, a voxel game, though it doesn't allow for any sense of "realism", proves itself enough to deliver the experience that this game wants to bring to the table.
Pro - Works on almost every computer
Con - Obviously nothing that will make you awe in shock

Gameplay: The strongest point of this game; the gameplay, works in a simple, yet elegant way. Tetris-like inventory system, which works wonders. The shooting sensation feels nice, which is great, and you can also add mods to these weapons on real time, which allows for a tactical change of scope in order to suit your needs. A hunger/thirst/sickness meter, which will keep you on the move for items that are going to keep you alive. Vehicles, yet somewhat limited, consist of various types of cars, vans, and military utility. And of course, the zombies themselves, which are not exactly "hard to deal with" unless you get surrounded by lots of em, and believe me, when you ♥♥♥♥ up, you will get overrun pretty easily, they are not as slow as they look.

It also has an RPG-esque experience system, which allows for further character customization, where you can dedicate a character to more offensive/defensive/passive skills. This, of course, complements nicely with a well balanced squad of friends, where a man can be the builder, and the other the killer.

Sound :
The game's weakest point is probably the sound, which feels unflattering and way too annoying, perhaps it's supposed to fit the graphics of the game, but it doesn't really deliver an immersive experience.

Overall, I give this game a 8/10

Pretty damn good game; fun, and it will last you a long time. People criticize it and compare it to the original Dark Souls, but this one has better mechanics and gameplay, sacrificing a bit of world design consistency and some of the bosses quality.
With the DLCs though it becomes a great game that can indeed stand up to expectations.
You have access to a lot of weapons, shields, armours and sorceries, granted with a bit of imagination, you can do lots of different builds.
All together Dark Souls 2 is a good game that will give you a nice chunk of enjoyment and difficulty for quite a lot of hours for what it's worth.
Here comes the bad news though, Dark Souls 2 has a new version called Scholar of the First Sin that adds even more content, this one has become outdated, so if you want to play the game, go buy that one instead.
