I’ve never played the original Silent Hill 2 or any Silent Hill game before so I went into the remake with an open mind. I was pleasantly surprised. The graphics are great, the atmosphere is thick and oppressive and the sound design really pulls you into the experience.

I also ended up really loving James as a main character — watching everything he had to endure throughout the game made the story hit a lot harder than I expected.

The only real downside is Unreal Engine being very heavy on PC with some rough performance at times. Other than that, it was a genuinely great experience and a strong personal introduction to the series.

Resident Evil 9 is a masterclass in tension and payoff. I absolutely loved the gameplay loop - starting as Grace, scavenging for every scrap just to survive, felt like classic survival horror at its peak!

But the real highlight? Switching to Leon and absolutely obliterating everything in my path after all that struggle. The game looks stunning and the sound design and music create an atmosphere that’s both terrifying and epic. An incredible experience!
