Summary:

RNG != Fun gameplay.
Audio balance is poor and not customizable.
9 Parts walking simulator to 1 part firefight does not make for an enjoyable shooter.
Client synchronization is iffy.
Hackers are a thing.
Paid loot boxes in a game I already had to buy.

My rating for the game: Hard pass. I wouldn't recommend it even if it were free.

If you think there is even a small chance that you will not enjoy this game, don't waste your money on it. Its essentially all of the worst aspects of a shooter game rolled into one hot mess.

Most of the game is wandering around hoping that RNGesus has blessed you and that you can find half decent equipment. A small percentage of each game is engaging with other players. Due to the very loud gunshots and very quiet footsteps, a lot of luck is involved as to whether you will kill someone before they know you are there or vice versa.

The gunplay may or may not be any good but since there is only one game mode (battle royale) you won't really have much time to find out. Once you die, thats it. All of your time and effort will have been for nothing. You get to spend another 1 to 2 minutes just standing around waiting for a round to start. Then you get to spend another ~1 to ~30 minutes hoping to gear up and not die again.

There is also an issue where what you are seeing and what other players are seeing is not in sync. This leads to being killed by people who aren't looking at you. Its very easy to see if you spectate another player and watch how all of their shots are no where near the enemy but still count as hits.

I also ran into hackers twice (that I knew of) in the ~9 hours I played. One was speed hacking and the other was using an aimbot.

Oh yeah, and they have loot boxes. Of course the keys to open those boxes cost real money to buy. Major red flag for any game that isn't free to play.
