Fun as hell! Had performance issues but then i updated my drivers and now works perfect.

More of the sweet demon slaying from the other two games before with just enough differences to make it a unique Doom experience!

The new weapons are very well made and thought through with their own unique way to dispose of demons.

The shield is extremely satisfying to see rip and tear the demons to shreds and watch it bounce between demons in a sweet dopamine rush.

The mech fights are awesome as hell you really feel like a god walking over city parts and turning them into pieces.

New dragon flight maps are really fun and looks amazing and feels amazing to control.

There is more story in this game then the previous titles where most lore was in the codexes you found.

They've also added difficulty modifiers so you can make it so its easier or even harder if you want that. So anyone can play this with this new addition.

Performance is great no stutters no fps drop, works honestly perfect!

While i still think the soundtrack was way better in the 2016 and Eternal (kinda impossible to do better then Mick Gordon) but the soundtrack is still good.

I hope they add a Horde mode at some point like they did with Eternal.

This is 100% my favorite rendition of Doom so far, loved the story and the new mechanics!

They did it again! a pure dopamine demon slaying masterpiece!

It sure is a decent horde shooter.

The card system is really nice to have so you can create builds around stuff. Which is pretty much the only thing it has thats better than Left 4 Dead.

The special zombies are nice and well made and you can hear the cues very well which you will need to pay somewhat attention to on Nightmare and No Hope difficulty.

I really like that all characters have something special to them like one is for example knife a food item and it will become a random food item, either better or worse.

All cosmetics are earnable and not microtransactions like it is in most games nowadays.

Story is bland as hell to be honest, but who plays horde shooters for the story lol.

Its 100% not worth the full price. its a really short game but there is replay value for sure. But when it goes on sale which is up to 90% alot of the times its worth it for some hours of fun killing zombies with friends.

The gameplay is really fun and the story was amazing.

All classes are fun to play and really unique.

The game has come a long way since it released where there was literly nothing to do in endgame.

Now there is ALOT of stuff to do and the changes to Nightmare Dungeons and The Pits are great!

But...the random disconnects from server really sucks.

Can play for hours without issues at times and other times it can just disconnect first time when i launch the game.

Not fun to lose potions and other stuff that dissappear at logout.

Really ruins the flow and fun of the game, but its still fun but really annoying.

Its the only game ive experienced this issue with.

The story is awesome, its short (around 10h) but not every game needs to be 100+h just looking for 100 collectibles or walking aimlessly through an empty open world that alot of games have had recently.

Combat is fluent and clean, feels like a mix of gears of war and a bit of soulslike with the parrying and dodging. It's not clunky at all like some people say it is.

Most weapons feels good to use and combat finishers is a dopamine rush when they occur especially on bosses.

Operations (PvE mode) while being few at launch is just pure fun to play and all the classes has their own specialty so it makes it fun to try them all and max their level to max.

I haven't tried the PvP yet so i can't speak on that.

Not a single microtransaction or ingame store, you just have to play to earn cosmetics like the good old days. (there are dlc for more but im fine with that.)

This game really feels like a Xbox 360 game, in a good way, when it was meant to just have fun with the game and not have a store screaming at you when you start the game.

Hands down this is the most fun i've had in a game in years.

The game is just pure fun no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Pros
It has a great artstyle, nice weapon feel but thats pretty much it.

Cons
Enemy ai feels clunky and dumb.
I literally couldent find a single game online cause theres noone playing this game.
The main menu and loading screen feels like there was basically no time put into it.
Feels pointless to play through the missions cause the story is mid at best.
Infinite spawning enemies.
Weapon mods and Artifacts feels like an afterthought that was put in last minute, nothing interesting or special that makes you feel like "Wow thats cool!".

its a shame, i was really looking forward for this cause it looked like a fun game and the artstyle looks amazing.

The game studio has been closed no more updates or fixes will come.

2/10 Do not buy

Was really buggy at power plant part where your zombies fall through the map. You cant progress without at least one zombie using "Shredder" to remove toxic gas which will insta kill you if you enter it. So you need to use the fast travel to travel to the same place youre at to fix it. I tried the ability to control your zombie on your own but it just fell through the entire map when i tried that.

Sometimes your zombies gets stuck at literally nothing. Which wouldn't be a huge problem except for the fact that the extreme weather conditions where you need atleast one of your zombies near you using a fan or heater so you don't die from the elements. So you need to quickly "set free" one of them and pick up a new one before you die.

While protecting your Shelter sometimes zombies gets stuck at a random spot and you have to either go all around to kill it or if you built walls all around your base you have to exit to menu and do it all over again because you can't edit your base when its in that state of the game...

Easy way to fix it on your own is to have a opening in your base. But yeah that kinda defeats the purpose of you know having a base built like a base should be...
Probably depends on where you built your base but it happened atleast 15 times for me.

Is this all completely game breaking? no i was able to 100% the game. Is it annoying? oh yes, yes it is...

Hopefully the devs do some patches to fix these issues.

Other than all that i'd recommend it but only on sale though. I had more fun then i thought i would have with it.

The game had the worst launch i've ever experienced. Couldn't log in for days.

The most hilarious thing was when someone asked on a official Payday stream: Since the game is online only what happens if the servers go down?

Launched with a horrible menu and heist selection the cutscenes are just still pictures, lackluster story.

Braindead ai. If you did a heist in stealth you got punished cause doin it loud would always get you more rewards.

Best way to level up for the longest time was to sit in a bathroom and just shoot the guards in the head and then get yourself killed when a weapon is done then rinse and repeat with a new weapon...

Unready button dident exist untill very recently, let that sink in, it took almost a year for such a simple fix...

Sure they have fixed some stuff now with a much better looking menu and crime.net came back. Only took them a year though...

The lack of updates to have a functional game took them way too long to achieve and with the recent news that in 2025 the updates will be less frequent just means the game is dead.

The game was somewhat fun for a little bit but no the game is not worth its price maybe on a 85% sale and even at that i would just say play Payday 2 instead.

2/10 Do not buy

The best horde shooter ive ever played. The gameplay is what keeps me coming back. The combat is nonstop action every movement you make matters, a simple mistake and youre dead. Weapons sound and feel good as hell. No other game has kept me this hooked for a long while.

Every special enemy you can hear when they spawn and where so you know what threat is ahead.

The game might feel slow and not hectic in the lower levels but when you reach Auric level missions thats where the real action happens. Hordes of special type enemies and elites nonstop and when the group gets downed and youre the only one left and actually survives and saves the game is an amazing stressful dopamine rush.

The game is also VERY detailed, just stop and look around the environment is insane!

The music is amazing! and especially in boss fights it just hits the right spot.

The game has had its fair deal of problems in the past with rng and a huge grind for weapons, and very rare updates to the game but now the weapon rng problem is completely gone with the Unlocked and Loaded update where you can change your stats however you like.

There is still the random disconnects like error code 2014 that constantly appears and sometimes you cant even join that particular match what so ever...

This could be the best liveservice game ever if Fatshark just updated it more with more Maps and Bosses for the most part everything else is there no other games combat is this good imo.

Even though the game has its flaws it is insanely good and is 100% worth every cent.

My favorite game of all time. Short but extremely enjoyable!
I still remember the day i ran home from school the day my dad bought the original game for me :D
