Works well, the main thing it's missing is two hand control. I'd love to have my cards in one hand so I can avoid looking down so far and be more immersed.

I have always adored the offroad nature of the previous games, but I was never serious enough to drive them, as I'm a nubface driver that doesn't really care about manual transmission and other complications. I just want to drive and do stuff.

This game is a good match for me, with what seems to be simplified mechanics but still compelling physics and things to do. It was thrust upon me by a friend who wanted to play, and it's exactly what I have wanted for the last 30 years. Vehicle physics with tire deformation and working hydraulics, this is a mechanical feast for my eyes.

The gameplay I enjoy the most
1. Exploration, traversing terrain against all odds
2. Coming up with solutions to achieve objectives
3. Playing and collaborating with friends

What hooks me
1. Definitely the graphics and performance, I play it on an RTX 3080 in 4K but also on the Steam Deck.
2. Leveling up my company, unlocking new vehicles and expanding my fleet.
3. The discovery of detail in maps, exploring new areas, it's just fantastic.
4. Just driving and experiencing the different vehicles, even the inside cockpits are spectacular.

Things I still wish for
1. Top of the list, a VR mode for the cockpit view. I have GT7 on the PS5 with the PSVR2, and the whole game is on a virtual screen until you drive, then you are in first person in the vehicle. I could play this game the same way, and only toggle into VR when sitting in the cockpits. The inside of the vehicles in game are already detailed enough that it feels made for VR when looking around.
2. Support for more input hardware, I have the 6DoF setup with two Thrustmaster T.16000M sticks (still available) that I would love to use for cranes and vehicles that are lever controlled.

Things that are annoying
1. No way to add cross-platform players as friends. Room-codes work but it gets a bit old, it's not uncommon though and I'm ignorant to what difficulties a cross-platform friends list would entail.
2. There is a Photo Mode, but it's quite limited, and annoying to toggle, and there's no quick toggle to hide the HUD inside the game for clean screenshots but I have to use the menus. I capture a lot of media.
3. In multiplayer sessions, there is no way to save all vehicles, only the ones owned by the host remain for the next session.

Conclusion
At this point in time, I can see myself playing this for a long time. I got a Moza R5 Truck Wheel on back-order, and am hopeful for other hardware support as well, as mentioned. Saber seems to be supporting their games for quite some time, and I am eager to get my hands on more vehicles and maps. I still have half the campaign left when I write this!

Relaxing and interesting. I haven't played a progressive game like this, it's kind of auto-balancing due to you being able to level up until you can beat a level, pretty clever design and still satisfying to plop in upgrades.

I spent most my time in it listening to an audio book, and funny enough using Index controllers with an overlay aligned to my monitor to play it from across the room, haha. A wireless mouse could also have worked but did not have that connected at the moment, and this was a fun way to play it.

It does actually have an end, so that's something.

Don't pay for this. The product doesn't have a single depot for data. There are no files for this soundtrack that can be retrieved by an end user.

Even if I paid money for this when it was up for sale, I never got any files for it. The product doesn't have a single depot for data. There are no files for this soundtrack that can be retrieved by an end user.

Alright, yeah I should review this, as I've gotten all (current) achievements. I've used this as a brain-dead activity while listening to audio books, thus how I've racked up 97 hours and gotten said achievements. This genre is the perfect solution to audio books when I otherwise only listen when doing chores or out and walking, which is not as enjoyable during this season. So yes, recommended if you need something that does not require more than 12 IQ. Well curated challenges and unlocks, so many unlocks, it kept my distracted interest.

Early Access Review
Enjoyable puzzler, I like the theme, adore the music, the mechanics are interesting, good game modes that provide variety in gameplay. Only complaint would be the clunky camera controls when playing on the Steam Deck, mostly noticeable as the camera resets more often than I'd like.

Currently my GOTY, yeah not just VR GOTY, just GOTY. Why?
  1. The most natural and convincing swimming mechanic I've ever experienced in VR. It's something I want to see in every other game that has swimming, like, yesterday.
  2. A great soundscape, no music mind you, but always ambient noises that makes the world feel alive.
  3. On that topic, the animals, all the animals and I guess plants. The animation system is brilliant, they feel solid, you can push them, they react to your proximity, probably the best animals I've experienced in VR.
  4. Right this is what people first see, it looks great. The water shader when you break the surface, the refracted light that plays over everything, it's a visually pleasing and polished title.
  5. Relaxing but still a surprising amount of things to do, I decided to 100% the game so it took me 17½ hours. I can tell you that you don't need to find all coins to buy all upgrades, you get 10 spares.
  6. Oh yeah, the hook that usually grabs me, unlocks and progression. You get to find or unlock a range of tools and equipment that gives you better mobility and more abilities. Way more things than I anticipated.
  7. The range of levels, I thought the game would be possibly half the size of what it actually was. I was positively surprised how much real estate this game shipped with.
I can only hope that this game is successful enough that it will motivate making more content for it, can even be DLC, I'd pay a reasonable amount for that.
