Pretty fun but also pretty buggy ngl, sometimes I freeze at the NCR caravans for no apparent reason and lag a lot. Ignoring these issues I still like this game ańd find it very fun, immersive and overall a pleasant experience.

Wowee, what a game.

Spoilers ahead, obviously.

So I began my journey with Amnesia: The Dark Descent long ago, however for reasons unknown I just kept putting it down after trying to play through it. I think it was due to a peculiar level, the Choir which was so maze-like and irritating with all the deaths that in my current playthrough (the one where I finally completed the game) I just used a guide map, just this once. But after a few hours and gawking at the amazing story and scenery of the game, while also (without surprise) getting scared I finally entered the inner sanctum and finished what I started with pure adrenaline and a lack of medicine.

It is such a weird feeling, the beautiful song and monologue. Tracing back Daniel's steps, out of the castle. It felt like this journey started so long ago, even though I was there, in the beginning like a week ago. It is so bittersweet, looking back Daniels amazing journey. Him getting his redemption and getting out before the castle crumbles.

I like to imagine that, after alllll of this, after the hurting, the insanity and anxiety attacks he immediately returned to the hospital where his sister, Hazel, was staying at. Recovering and finally seeing him return after all this time of wait. Living happily ever after.

Sure, Daniel was no good man. Zimmermanns was the proof of that, but as Nix Gottlieb said in Disco Elysium: "Look on the bright side, you have a new life ahead of you" after telling him that you had Amnesia as the protagonist in that game.

All in all, I loved the game. I loved the setting, sound design, puzzles, monsters and voice acting and more. It is ultimately the most beautiful and melancholic horror game I have ever set my foot in.
