I'm giving this a recommend, but this game isn't as great as I was hoping. Everything about it is technically good enough, and it is a good game across the board, but nothing about it stands out. It's a solid 7 or 8 out of 10 game. The biggest issue I have is it just feels kind of flat and bland. Even the typically amazing Obsidian writing is just good here. There's nothing glaringly wrong with it, but nothing that stands out either. It's just a very safe game in a very safe genre that doesn't move anything forward at all.

Quite simply one of the best games I've ever played. This is the Final Fantasy I have been waiting for since X.

Better than anything I ever hoped for. I have been wanting a remake of this game since I played the remastered Resident Evil on GameCube, and although I had to wait a little longer than I would have liked this was entirely worth the wait. This is the best Resident Evil game I have ever played and I can't wait to see what they do next.
