I have replayed Planescape: Torment no less than 30 times over the years since its initial release. It is, by far, the game I have revisited most and there's a reason for that. PST isn't for everybody; the combat is janky, the pacing is weird, and it drops a metric tonne of text on the player constantly. It's like playing a visual novel with a more elaborate interface which is powered by AD&D 2e. But for those with patience to see this experience through, well, let me put it to you like this: PST, in many ways, has shaped who I am as a person.

This game is influential, moving, thought provoking....it asks questions which you weren't aware needed to be asked in the first place. And the answers, well, I'll leave that to you to discover.

So, at this point I've been playing 7DtD for...a few years. It's gone through several major overhauls and updates. I can say that, overall, the game has proceeded along a positive trend even if I haven't always agreed with some of the design decisions the devs have made; I get the why of those decisions for the most part. There are things I would like to see in the game which used to exist but are no longer there and things which other, similar games have done which I think this game would benefit from. But, do I recommend this game? Yeah. It's a great time with a few friends if you're into the genre.

Combat, with the exception of some collision detection issues mainly introduced by server latency, feels tight and polished at this point. The crafting and gathering, while repetitive, allows for a high degree of customization and control over base building and fortification. There's a role for every one in the game to play and a way for anyone to contribute meaningfully. If you like cooperative survival scenarios, you'll enjoy this game. As I've generally eschewed PVP in this game, I can't speak to that element of play.

If you've ever wanted to commit acts for which they've not yet invented punishments in hell, then go ahead and pick this gem up.

I don't even know what I'm doing anymore. What is a "life" and how do I get one? Doesn't matter; had Wasteland 2.
