i feel like its time to review this, It was a great game when it was in development but now oh my its brilliant, added loads of textures and maps etc to the game since then as well as more shadows.
Fairly fast paced bit weird to get used to but fun movement, in the sense of jumping off walls. pretty much its infection gamemode but more than that, all in all well worth buying to help support the dev's <3

So basically its Minecraft meets Starship troopers and Dwarves with guns what more could you ask for?

Randomly generated cave systems, hoards of bugs to fight, customisable loadouts for currently 4 different characters.
want more? ... Barrels! yes you heard it barrels! oh and don't forget the booze too!

All in all this game is great this is how early access is supposed to be done! Constant well made updates with quick bugfixes to follow, all of this with well balanced gameplay either solo or as a squad, and its actually rewarding to work as a team since there is proper synergy between characters. keep up the good work Ghost Ship!

One of the best early access games i have bought 10/10

Rock and stone brother!

Would not recommend atm while in early access or until the dev makes this a playable game. something is horribly off optimisation wise freezes and crashes fps drops all over the place and that's with EVERYTHING set to low res and low graphic settings(i may not have high end pc but its not terrible and still a gaming pc). the new game button doesn't have a warning that it will wipe your progress so I've had to restart a few times after clicking on new game without thinking after a crash since its the top option. sound bugs out sometimes on special effect noises for objectives to elaborate even with sound turned off it still ear-rapes your canals. and i haven't really got to play much of the story because of the bugs crashes will try to make more progress when I'm not so triggered at that. but from what I've seen its a little lack-luster and the overall game play is slow and clunky. why cant i move around the map and check out the map to see where i might have to go? why does the game still register dead enemies for one more turn when they are DEAD. (thus slowing down the game play) why cant i skip the fight scenes when i select a weapon to fire?and why cant i turn off the projectiles or particle effects that happen when a ship is engaged in a fight? (might improve performance for some people or at least provide a fix to the fps drops in big battles) either way a lot of issues that shouldn't be there for an early access game that's been out for a year!

Good game fairly well balanced but if vanilla isn't your fancy plenty of community servers out there to try. renowned for toxicity in game but that's to be expected from a PVP game that has items to be lost.

First of all let me say with all its flaws its still a great game! whats not to like in the premise of space ninjas haha, even if i get bored of it ill always come back.

Tonnes of content endless things to collect and the overall feel of the game is great ie. Melee and movement is fun and free flowing and gunplay is the same too.
Some newcomers might be phased by the sheer amount of things to do, collect and learn at first but once you get into it its pretty straight forward. And if your ever stuck the huge friendly and helpful community is always there to help if you just ask!
On top of all this the developers are always working on and bringing out new content which keeps the game alive and fresh.while those new updates can cause unexpected bugs and it in general can be a little bit buggy sometimes thats to be expected of such an old game even if its been updated.

summary
Pros: Lots of content, fun to play even casually, always being added too, top notch community.
Cons: A little buggy sometimes, timegate elements can be a little over the top for a new player but for a vet its needed, you wont have a life after you're hooked on this!

Games been out for 8 years, riddled with skids and delusional cheaters... Let's make it free to play and easier for cheaters to get into prime by dropping a PRIME STATUS UPGRADE FOR 19.99 instead of continuing to ban cheater's phone numbers, and making them actually have to play the game before they ruin it for others.

Also let's drop a BR mode without any sort of anti-cheat beyond VAC. Good job Valve, day you killed the game.

edit- It’s 2018, we live in a day and age when your ads are tracking and monitoring you. F* off and man up and bring back the intrusive AC. Do what ESEA does but better for f* sakes. Take control of your game. Give us what we want, 128 tick MM. Stop killing off games when you run out of ideas or don’t want to exhaust funds to make them better. This is Counterstrike we are talking about.

Also fair play and up for debate... Announce when you’re about to drop the major AC overhaul. That way, the people who are stuck in MM cheating because they feel like they have no alternative, or have genuinely given up on the game, can finally go clean when they see the positive of a clean competitive game. Knowing that if they do it again in the new day and age of CS, they will be HWID banned. Then drop the hammer.

You don’t need to spend all this money on some A.I. to save your PR department from the horrors of an “intrusive anti-cheat” who cares... save the ♥♥♥♥ing game first.
