I understand that it is a free game but for a 2024 game, I sincerely believe that this game it's not worth of its high quantity of positive reviews.
I reflected for half an hour after I have finished it and I drew the conclusion that it is the worst horror game I have ever played.

The only good part about this game is the jumpscares. Them are abundant and even if you are used from other games with some timings(when them should appear etc.), you still are taken by surprise sometimes in this game.

Here comes the parts which made my opinion about it so negative:

-many ideas were copied especially from the Resident Evil games and movies, the zombie squad which comes in ur aid for evac and to kill the doc which is behind all of this and them are taken out one by one, like in Resident Evil movies. Also the lady spirit with superpowers which seem to have been his wife... I felt like the idea was copied from Red Queen.
Also if you have played Resident Evil 2 Remake you will notice that in the outro writes "NIGHTMARE HOUSE 2", exactly with the same letter fonts and colors like in Resident Evil 2 Remake, but with the "NIGHTMARE HOUSE" letters at smaller size.
These figured for me that this game was intended to be made as a cheap copy of Resident Evil games
-the graphics are so bad, for a 2024 game I expected much more, would have been sheesh for 2004...
-the mechanics again very bad as the graphics. For 2024 would he been sheesh, no weapons recoil, zombies movements are so bad made... Arghh it is so bad done for a 2024 game...
-The game becomes really annoying, it doesn't give u any hints of what u should do and in order to unlock some doors u have to do other things before which you can't figure which them are if u don't roam around rooms like an non sense idiot. For example u must stand in a spot to get the jumpscare so the door unlocks and u can progress. Or u have to interact with other objects before, so frustrating...
I could go on with the list, like things that have no logic etc. but I think I made it clear that it was a rather frustrating than a horror experience for me.
Wouldn't recommend spending 2 hours to play this when you can grab far more better horror games at good discounts nowadays

I finished Act 1 of the story and I have to say that it is like The Witcher 3 but japanese style with many more game mechanics.
Pros:
-Immersive gorgeous graphics
-The map of Japan is full of details
-The game mechanics are well done
-You can switch between Naoe if u wanna go for stealth or Yasuke if u wanna go for heavy combat
-Fully customizable characters
-Ability to unlock fast travel points like in The Witcher, spares a lot of time to travel between points
-Master points tree which can unlock several dope abilities like assassinations through canvas walls with a katana or double assassinations from above using a Tanto (it's a short blade, half the length of a katana I would say)

Cons:
-The fact that you have to travel much distance between some points before being able to unlock fast travels
-If you are aware of the details, you gonna notice that some of the faces of characters were copied to others and the plot may confuse you a little until u realise it

In conclusion, if you have enjoyed The Witcher 3 game as I did, then this game is for you too. Buy it for discounted price as I did, full price might not be worth it.

Tbh it doesn't hit u like RE2, but for discounted price it is surely a great game. The action in game feels so intense and unique

They solved the problem with shaders compilation and game runs smooth now so Imma change this review back to positive too. Thx!

OP GAME
On low settings the game runs smooth and ngl but the graphics look good. For those having problems, try increasing ur gpu, cpu power with armoury core asus app. Simply put it in turbo or manual modes.

They added full controller support for xbox controller even if it doesn't say there. Good job team!

So u play as the family and u execute a victim, if he dc while u are in the animation the kill doesn't count. Plus there are some bugs like getting stuck in walls if u are too close to them when u execute the victims. Shame!

So this review it's wrote after I have finished the whole story.Game it's very complex and well-done(runs smooth, game mechanics are top-notch, map is huge and there was paid much attention to details, nice story) BUT there are many major drawbacks which should be taken into account.First of all, a multiplayer mode must be added asap because after you finish the game you are op af and it's not fun anymore after you kill the enemies with one/two spells. Some spells duels with other players would be fun, just imagine.Second of all, YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE FREAKING SEASON even after you have completed the whole game which is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. The game just ruins the whole atmosphere by starting during Halloween(which is my favorite celebration) and ending in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Spring. Not everyone likes a bright environment.Last but not least, they should add an option to enter in the other houses at least as a quest but this is not a major problem to me.Having said these, it's definitely a game which deserves to be played.

It's just too big, repetitive and boring as hell.

To my opinion, the map it's a big downgrade compared to fh4's one. It's big but too empty. Maybe fh6 is gonna be better if they add a map like Tokyo as everyone expected they would add in fh5.
