So Bloons is a freaking incredible game. The depth, the progression, the challenges and theorycrafting at high levels are all amazing and provide an enjoyable, relaxing, rewarding, and fun gaming experience that works just as well with your friends (since you can now play with up to 4 people). Every part of this game, especially the multiplayer, is eons better than all previous iterations of the game that you might have heard of or played in your childhood and are insanely fun. $10 might be slightly steep for a game like this, but it so often goes on sale for $1 that it can be super easy to get a great deal and have a ton of fun with this game.

The only reason this review is not positive is because of the microtransactions. Prior to today (1/23/20), they were just kind of there, but never too in your face. Small things like skins on heroes and single-game OP power boosts that can get you out of a bind if you really need it. And you do earn the microtransaction currency, "monkey money", at a quick enough rate through regular gameplay.

The main issue though was the update to the game today; the devs added the need to pay large amounts of this "monkey money" to upgrade your power ingame onto a feature that was previously entirely free to use. This isn't small, minor, or inconsequential like previous MTX. They literally added the need to pay with real money onto a feature that was previously included in the base game that you already paid $1-$10 for. And the amounts of "monkey money" needed for this is not small like some other things. You need a pretty significant amount to unlock VERY small upgrades.

This really freaking sucks for lack of better words and is an absolute scourge on an otherwise amazing game, so my review will unfortunately have to be negative until this changes. It is still a great game at heart, but just take heed before you buy.

This game is totally unbalanced, luck in this game is an impossible thing, I did everything to win, but not to win, luck in the game and totally unbalanced. Literally a cheap copy of monopoly.

Epic gameplay, the story is a little confuse because you have a lot of side missions that you can do but the ganme is flawless, i give it a 7,5/10

Despite being an 'old' game the game is a lot of fun especially with friends.
