I've minimised the game just to downvote for the Arasaka ending. That is the most tedious pile of ♥♥♥♥♥ I've ever had the displeasure of sitting through, I can imagine waterboarding would be more enjoyable.

Based on reviews, I was expecting a dogshite game, I guess it's a good job we make our own minds up. Baring in mind I experienced zero of the framerate/optimisation issues that seemed to have plagued others, and yes, the lack of fast travel traversal can be extremely annoying with the fetch quests (but at no point does the game direct you to a store, so the "wawawa microtransactions" comments are a bit far fetched. The combat is fairly satisfying for the most part (Trickster, I'm not looking at you.....) Switching vocations mid play through is similarly a great choice. Main questline is uninspiring, to say the least, but really enjoyed the world (particularly post game) even though enemy variety is pretty poor, you will fight the same 6 things over and over, it's a little repetative... But still, a great game on sale.

Early Access Review
Even without updates this was an incredible game, well worthy of the price, less than a year later we've had 2 chunks of extra content, texture upgrades and some bugs finally worked out. Anything hereon in (to me) is a bonus, and I'll undoubtedly carry on playing, even if late game can feel a little grindy.

I loved the game dearly, there's some really great content there however I found the grind a little tiresome to justify ESO+ at the moment, thus comes the major gripe, so now I've left the subscription model, despite purchasing High Isle at £32 (and a few releases before) I cannot access the dungeons for the DLC I've purchased without spending a futher £11 or continue paying the subscription? Maybe I've missed something somewhere, but if you purchase a DLC, it shouldn't be pay-locked further still.

Classic Xaviant. Making games that have great potential but end up being a hollow-empty as ♥♥♥♥ shell of what they could have been. So they've only released two games, it's disappointing to see such a trend already, alas they've moved on to a new game, which will surely suffer the same fate. Unless they've actually learnt from their mistakes that they've seemed so reluctant to admit to or address.

To the game itself. graphically pretty decent, but again, lacking a driving force to see it through. Sandboxy, sure it has to satisfy some people's gaming needs But £30? You must be having a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ laugh.

TL:DR :- Under NO circumstances buy it, it's been completely abandoned. If that advice isn't enough for you, go and look at the positive reviews, see how many of those have hours played in the past 2 weeks. In fact I urge you to avoid any game Xaviant releases in future.

If that wasn't enough to convince you, here's my original reveiw - I don't often write reviews. However I feel I need to for the Culling.

It would be fairly easy to harp on about how good it was, back in the day.

However, the short of it is, the game has barely no more than 150 players at it's peak. Whilst yes, you do only need a further 15 for a full game. I can't imagine it would be fun for a new player joining who ends up playing against high hour players, every time.

Secondly, the recent price increase. Yes a game must make money, but it also needs a solid player base to sustain it. The devs have drove away many players through their stubborness to listen and to make changes. £19 for a game that has such a small base? At it's heart it is still a good game, but it was and could have been amazing.

Maybe, just maybe, one day there will be reason for us to come back, but until then I can't recommend it.
