This game is basically Dark Souls + twisted fairy tales in an RPG Maker style

Objective problems with the game

- Why is the patch required to play the game? Mature content should be a bonus, not a requisite.
- There is no point in using companions. You need to spend a turn to summon each ally, and they all leave after each battle.
- It is too easy to farm levels.

If these 3 problems were fixed, it would be easier to recommend the game.

Proposal:
- Separate the game in order to be able to play it without needing the patch.
- Allow party setup, decide which companions will battle with you.
- Make the main character unable to level up, only use colored soul items to increase stats. Companion leveling can be kept as is. This coupled with the point above would allow more tactical gameplay.

Subjective take

Negative:
- Enemy sprites styles vary too much.
- There is no settings. You can not resize the window, change language, not even change the volume. There are external ways to achieve this.
- Companions companionship is a bit uninspired.

Positive:
- Amount of content for this game is good.

Superb narrative and making meaningful choices is hard to accomplish, this game does it.
Great gameplay, voice acting and even support for modding.

Combat is good, Connection is good, Character Creation is good, Tutorials (if you look for them) are good
World Tour is kinda nice, hope it gets more developed
Battle Hub is kinda nice, would appreciate a more defined purpose to some things in there, for example, there are announcements of players in winning streaks, thats cool, but what about being able to spectate some of those? Also, tournaments are just weird, when are they active? how to join them?
Modern controls are kinda nice, offer less precision but ease of use, you can change them if you want, in my opinion, a stepping stone to classic controls
Story could be better, hope it gets more fleshed out in further updates
About the only thing that is a negative is trying to control the camera around your character when you are using a fight stick, they are simply not designed to handle 3d camera movement, there should be an option to auto follow character facing
