!Ending Spoiler Warning!

So long as you are expecting what is mostly a walking sim with occasional mini-game elements, the majority of the game itself is pretty good and in that respect I quite enjoyed most of my time with the game. The issue arises with the way the story ends narratively.

While there is nothing wrong with a "bad ending" when done well, this game's ending is unsatisfying and not well executed. Much of why the player's plan doesn't work in the end is due to information you had no real way of knowing or finding out ahead of time making it feel like a blindside then cut to main menu rather than a building inevitability that would have made it work. Also due to much of the characterization and dialogue throughout the story developing a theme of "Do you decide if you matter or do the people in power?", the ending tacitly implies the latter since with the player's fate, every character you met on your travels is now at the mercy of a deranged psychopath who views them all as mindless copies doing nothing more than mimicking rather than thinking.

In short, the ending undoes almost all of the themes and philosophies the narrative was setting up in order to throw a cheap, "nothing you did mattered" bad ending in your face.

A satisfying game to strategize and slowly build up the infrastructure of an entire city. Alternatively, just activate the infinite money mode and go crazy with whatever.

Yes, it does have hot demon chicks and if you claim to want it for anything else you're a terrible liar

Ever wanted to slaughter your way through an entire city's worth of mutant scum with your friends every 30 minutes? This is where you can do it.

The original Dragon Age: Origins was one of the games that got me into PC gaming. The Ultimate Edition makes the experience feel and look like it did in my memories. Certainly not in the graphics class of more modern games, but with a robust system of combat, dialogue, and consequence. Well worth a play by any fans of the RPG or Fantasy genre.

Well, 29 minutes and I've already had the credits roll. Would have been less time if I had gone straight to the world map when I got it. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be that quick but it was fun while it lasted, even if I never collected Todd.

This is one of the games that got me into PC gaming in the first place. It shows its age but I find it still an enjoyable experience if only for the nostalgia.

Early Access Review
Definitely worth the money. Though it is a little confined at the moment, it's enjoyable for a quick run through every now and then. It needs a few more maps and possibly a hardcore mode but still worth it as is.

Another amazing game from Revolution Software. From Templars, to Evil Gods and now fairy tales and myth and yet it all works together so well. The unnecessarily long puzzles seem to have bred to cover a lot more of the game but are genuinely a challenge most of the time and despite some apparent predjudice against Australians, it is definitely worth and adventure gamers time as they have moved out of the typical point-and-click style. Can't say I enjoyed the camera control much though.

Those who are fans of point-and-click adventures will love this as the logic train derailed sometime between the first and second game and you Will be needing that help system or a heap of patience; to be honest, probably both. Definitely a great series for the genre with a mostly solid plot and an actual possibility of dying this time around. The only downside I can see is a comparitively short play time compared to the first game even with the two unnecessarily long puzzles towards the end.
