Turbo Overkill is a fast paced first person shooter set in a cyberpunk dystopian city known as Paradise, ran by mega corporations, you play as Johnny Turbo, formerly the cities poster boy regulator, now a half man half metal badass with a metal arm and CHAINSAW LEG, and this game? IT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RULES, if you see or know anyone who says "hur dur gaming is dying" "modern gaming sucks" hand them this game, as it is ONE OF THE GREATEST AND MOST FUN GAMES OF ALL TIME, WHY BUY CRACK WHEN YOU CAN PLAY THIS GAME?And it makes most AAA games look like rip offs, there is so much to talk about, i think this review is gonna be my longest one, but ill try to convince you that YOU REALLY SHOULD BUY THIS GAME

WHERE DO I EVEN START? Lets talk about the weapons, THE VAST MAJORITY OF THEM ARE EXTREMELY SATISFYING AND USEFUL, with the exception of one mod though, and the variety is really good too! You have Smart pistols, Semi-auto Shotguns, Dual SMG's that you can ditch one to become an assault rifle, a Double Barrel with a grenade launcher, a Minigun that can turn into a flamethrower with a little face indicating how much ammo you have for it, A Rocket launcher that can fire up to 4 rockets at once, A Plasma gun with the ability to hold projectiles and microwave enemies, a Sniper Rifle that can serve as a railgun AND ALSO TELEFRAGS FODDER ENEMIES, an Orbital Laser gun and even CHAINSAW ARMS but none of them are as useful and essential as you CHAINSAW LEG, Mowing down enemies with it is DOPAMINE INCARNATE, AND YOU CAN GET AN AUGMENT THAT GIVES YOU 2 CHAINSAW LEGS. Speaking of Augments, They are essentially upgrades for the player, they can give you health and armor on Chainsaw Leg kills, make you run faster, give you a wall jump, reduce spread, and basically make the game quickswap heaven with a post game augment, some are better than others tho, so chose your augments wisely! Now lets talk about the enemies, they are really good, all of them have distinct designs making them easy to spot and recognize, some are more fun to fight than others but the enemy roster is still amazing. Lastly for the gameplay section, LEVELS, They are some of the most impressive ive ever seen in a game, considering it was made by only ONE SINGLE FULL TIME DEV AND A COUPLE OF PART TIME DEVS, A couple of highlights are: Rooftops, Artifact Zero, Paradise Lost, Exodus, Infestation, Sunset Synthetica, Terminal Eclipse, Vector-4. They only have one issue and thats the fact that the game is a tad too long, but they still are absolutely PHENOMENAL, each one has a set piece that makes you stop and watch in awe. All 3 of the episodes rock
Turbo Overkill's visuals are superb with a gigantic amount of variety, im not gonna touch on spoilers this part so dont worry, the cyberpunk city skylines of episode 1, the corrupted city filled with meat tentacles and ruined towers, and episode 3 doesnt have a theme persay, but all of their levels are gorgeous to look at. This part is really short cuz I JUST WANT YOU TO GO INTO THESE LEVELS AND LOOK AT THEM THEY ARE MASTERPIECES
The Sound Design in Turbo Overkill RULES, the sound effects for shooting guns, using the chainsaw leg, the sound of gibbing an enemy is just OH ITS SO GOOD, The Voice acting is also great, the performance Gianni Matragrano does for Maw especially, it goes SO HARD I LOVE IT, Jon st. John also does his best vocal performance since Duke Nukem with S.A.M.M your AI friend, i love him. And THE MUSIC? HOLY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ITS A BANGER OF A SOUNDTRACK, Trainpocalypse and Sunset Synthetica are highlights for me, absolute PEAK MUSIC RIGHT HERE
I will only talk about it after the second half of episode 2 since thats when the spoilers kick in, but the story is as follows: Johnny Turbo was once a regulator in the city of paradise, eventually becoming a street cleaner, sorta like a hitman, they get stopped by the girl named Ripper, she shoots your left hand off and blows your brains out, eventually you are revived but with a temporary brain, soon youll have to make cash to pay for surgery to have a regular brain, back to present day, Johnny is Hired by mega corporation TeraTek with the goal of Purging the SYN Virus, whilst on your mission, SAMM tells you about Artifact Zero, the Exec, who is your handler explains that Artifact Zero is the most powerful super computer TeraTek ever produced, and that if SYN gets a hold of it then it is lights out for humanity, unfortunately SYN does get a hold of Artifact Zero and the city of paradise goes to ♥♥♥♥, you nearly lose your human brain and SAMM but save them. Episode 2 Kicks off, now there are 3 dudes trying to kill you, Maw, Jazz, and Ripper, defeating them one by one, eventually getting to Maw- Im gonna stop here as it gets to spoiler territory and i want you to experience all of it.
Turbo Overkill IS A WORK OF ART, A MASTERPIECE, ONE OF THE BEST VIDEO GAMES OF ALL TIME, IF YOU ENJOY ULTRAKILL, TITANFALL 2, DOOM ETERNAL, CYBERPUNK 2077, THIS GAME IS A MUST PLAY, THE FUN YOU CAN GET FROM IT IS ALMOST UNMATCHED, PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING THIS GAME DOES IS DONE REALLY REALLY REALLY AMAZINGLY, SO MY RATING FOR TURBO OVERKILL IS
