it's pretty fun spreading democracy with friends

*PROS*
-Fun
-Immersive enough to get lost in
-Decent mod support
-Bladed polearms go whoosh and kill people
-Massive battles
-Loads of playtime potential especially if you try to dominate the entire map

*CONS*
-The AI pathfinding and combat behaviors sometimes seem off soldiers often prioritizing chasing broken fleeing enemies rather than focus on the main forces still right in front of them.
-Soldiers basically stand on top of each other when fighting leading to a weird blob of a swarm of troops instead of a more realistically spaced frontline these people would be trampled and trip if they all stood that closely together.
-Big battles enemies can spawn in reinforcing armies out of thin air instead of having them logically enter from an edge of the map they often spawn a bit too close to the center areas sometimes which can lead to situations like a bunch of enemy infantry spawning inside of your bow formations.
some features haven't been implemented but its in beta so its fine for now.

*FINAL THOUGHTS*
I love this game, For me it is definitely worth the money just based on the amount of content already available and the sheer amount of time and satisfaction grinding up your stats to become powerful feels. Over time your armies will become large and the scale of battle seems more and more desperate, overall the experience is enjoyable and even if you experience setbacks you can usually bounce back even stronger.

This game is a childhood favorite of mine, still one of the best Star Wars games and one of the best RPGs of all time.

First of all I have way more than 11 hours put into this game (standalone launcher)

Not even worth writing a long detailed review, just read the detailed reviews written in the past couple months.

Basically Freescam made the game a stagnant p2w game that took all sense of accomplishment out of the picture. Do not spend money on this game it is 100% likely that if you do, the bot you bought will be scrapped in a future update rendering it unusable.

Fix your game already!

EDIT: Freejam is now starting to flag negative reviews with legitimate criticism of the game. Instead of doing the logical thing and fixing their game, they are silencing people who were huge supporters of the game. What is the point of being a paying customer when the company robs you of what you have already bought and then asks for more money?

There is no point in investing into a greedy company like freejam, the devs have abandoned us and now it is time for us to abandon them. 10/10 uninstall.

Play the damn game already. You will not regret it.

edit: When the game first went into early access it showed a lot of promise. now two years later and the devs just added new content and did not bother properly optomizing the game. Don't buy this game or the dlc. devs advertized dragons in the base game, nope you have to buy a dlc to get access to scorched earth content. Blatant cash grab of a game with minimal effort on the part of the devs to actually properly finish the game.

I do not recommend buying this game for $60

If you really want to play this wait for it to go on sale for $10 or less, that is all it is worth.

It's a great simulator that for some reason I've wasted much time on both the phone and Steam versions. becomes depressing after you get every single upgrade and unlock possible, Idk what to do anymore . . . T-T
