Early Access Review
This game just makes my brain happy. From doing the math on output or possible to produce, to testing sorting algorithms on more advanced factory pieces. I feel like this game made me want to get better at math. Can't recommend enough

This game was one that i went into a really had little impressions about.
The Good:
The combat in RAGE 2 has a great flow to it and is easily the best part of the game. Using the powers and the weapons combined with the overdrive felt great especially as you unlocked more and more.
RAGE 2 is a beautiful and disgusting game game. They game doesnt shy away from its primary colors of pink, yellow, light blue, and red. Which really gives the game a unique look in a genre thats usually pretty brown and gray. Also those mutants are some ugly SOBs

The Bad:
The story: RAGE 2 has a story and thats all I can really say its very barebones and really is just a vehicle to kill more guys. Normally this would be good but the story has no real weigh to it where characters will just come in, do something and im supposed to have an emotional moment, but i never felt that because half the time i was like who is this or wow i just met this person, i guess theyre gone. I like the idea of RAGE's story and thought it could do a ton, but even the game doesn't seem to want to explore any of the past or where things could be heading.
the combat: I know you're like but you just said it was good, wtf. I loved the combat in rage 2. keeping the meter up and using my cool abilities and guns to take out my foes was great, but the fights never lasted long enough and very quickly i had to turn up the difficulty because i was annhilating enemies in second. Even camps that were supposed to be hard were ripped to shreds in seconds. I like the combat but there needed to be more extended fights. It felt good to weave around, use my arsenal, but I rarely got to do that when the fights ended so quickly.

Overall RAGE 2 is a game you wait for that deep sale, put some time in to see the world and mechanics and feel like "yeah its got a great foundation, just wish it had a little more to keep me going"
