So i came to a point where i finally uninstalled after 900 hours and i have zero regrets.
Why? Because:
-Servers are an absolute joke. (20 tick rate in 2024, seriously? My grandma's dial-up had better packet loss)
-Cheaters everywhere and EA does nothing. (Easy Anti-Cheat is the biggest joke in the industry. Ban wave happens once a season if you're lucky, meanwhile aimbotters run ranked freely)
-SBMM completely destroyed casual play. (Played 3 games as a casual? Congrats, next lobby is full of pred players who haven't touched grass in 3 years)
-TTK changes nobody asked for. (They keep tweaking TTK back and forth every other season like they have no idea what their own game is supposed to feel like)
-Ranked system is a disaster. (They reworked it AGAIN and somehow made it WORSE. You lose 60 LP for a 5th place finish where you got 8 kills. Makes total sense.)
-Legend releases over balance fixes. (New $20 skin and a new legend every season but Horizon has been broken for 4 years straight. Priorities.)
-The audio is genuinely broken. (Footsteps either sound like an elephant stomping next to you or completely silent. Died to "no audio" more times than to actual gunfights)
-Heirlooms over netcode. (300 dollars worth of cosmetics in the store but my bullets still disappear into players mid-fight. Thanks Respawn.)
-Battle Pass monetization got so greedy it's insulting. (They literally split it into TWO passes now and made it so you can't even finish it by just playing. You HAVE to pay extra. LOL?)
-Movement abilities completely unbalanced. (Pathfinder zips across the map, Octane gives speed boosts to the whole team, and my Bloodhound with 0 mobility just stands there getting deleted)
-The game peaked around Season 5-7 and everyone knows it. (Back then ranked actually meant something, the meta was fun, and you didn't need a PhD in the battle pass system to understand what you were buying)
-Community toxicity at an all time high and report system does absolutely nothing. (Reported the same cheater 6 times in one evening. Still in my lobbies next day.)
-Disconnects count as losses. (Server crashes mid-game? That's a ranked penalty for YOU. Not for the broken server. For YOU.)
Compared to early Apex this game is just a shell of what it was. Back in Season 2-3 every drop felt exciting, gunfights felt fair, and ranked actually rewarded skill. Now every session ends in frustration and a new popup asking me to spend money.
900 hours. That's how long it took me to finally accept it's not getting better.
