Literally can't play, crashes at start up or when loading due to some memory error.

If it manages to get thru the main menu then its stable enough to play for a while... until it dies again when loading a cutscene or fast-traveling.

Did my 5h of internet research, disabled XMP, updated .dll files, verfied game files, no luck.

I don't know how to begin this… I guess the easiest way of putting it is: others led me to believe this was more than it actually was.

Don’t get me wrong, there is a lot of stuff to do, and in many ways it’s even better written than its “competitor,” aka Skyrim. The music and atmosphere are on point, too.

But it just… lacks a hook for me. The first 20–30 hours are golden, but then the game feels like it runs out of things to show you. You get your build going and start wondering when it’ll end. I think they dropped the ball a bit on the “you’re a part of the world” department, because it felt to me like I was simply passing through it. Once I’d seen the main story beats and got the hang of the combat, there was nothing for me to get attached to, no NPCs or places that really stuck with me.

I guess it just felt like something was missing something that would bridge the gap between a casual new player and the world they wanted to build.

I feel awful saying this, because the devs really did a great job getting 80% of the way there (compared to The Elder Scrolls), and in some ways they did better. But that last 20% means I can’t play this for the 100s of hours I wanted to—or even 80. I just lost all interest halfway through, and it’s annoying that I can’t precisely point to why.

I think i'll give it a recomend because this still sounds like a "me" issue, wish there was an informative option.

  • If you liked the base game:
    1. This is overpriced.

  • If you didn't like the base game:
    1. This is just more base game
    2. Still overpriced

Don't, just don't. Only Innovation on this title is that they managed to make it more pointless than Fallout 76.
