This game had so much potential, but there are fundamental problems.

The good:
- The game is visually appealing
- There is technically a lot to do. Some of the open world challenges and puzzles are fun and interesting.
- You'll be able to play as your favorite character
- Characters have skins, instead of 7 copies of the same character cluttering the menu like in the previous games
- Kyber Brick system. Having powerups that you can spend to upgrade abilities is fun, and allows me to skip some of the repetitive consoles you have to use. Those suck after a while.

Unfortunately, the original game (The Complete Saga) is vastly superior in a lot of ways.

The Bad:
- Poor tutorials. The episode 1 tutorial launches you into space flight, dumps you into a hub-like zone, and wanders you through the halls for a scripted event before starting you off. The episode 4 tutorial was fine, but Episode 1, 4, and 7 have tutorials so it's odd. How to use the character swap-list in freeplay is poorly explained.
- Lack of hub world. You have a hub in the pocket in your holo device, but it is clunky and can be difficult to access when you would expect it to be available.
- Empty space. There is a lot of go here, go there, between missions that try to sell themselves as mission. You can buy capital ships, and they really do not do that much.
- Massive framerate issues in certain areas. Sometimes the camera will force a perspective at random in one of those areas, and it's very problematic. Consistent 144 fps in all areas, but then drop to 20 in 3 zones.
- Forced perspective during boss fights. It can be very difficult to collect the few in-mission items when your camera is locked on the boss most of the time.
- The challenges. A lot of them are fundamentally difficult to complete due to their nature, not in terms of skill. Quite a few suffer from needing to kill characters a certain way, or kill a certain amount, and the game does not properly count them.
- Mission replay-ability. As opposed to the original missions, there are 5 minikits per mission and the mission areas are fairly small.
- Missions themselves. 5 missions per movie, all of which are boss fights or vehicle levels. Miss a challenge or it bugs out, you probably have to run the entirety of the boss fight to get there.
- Repetitive puzzles. Requiring me to stack 5 boxes in every new zone for a collectible gets boring.
- Datacards replacing red bricks. In the original game, each red brick was attached to a purchasable upgrade. Now, you can use any datacard to purchase any power up (2x studs, or higher). These are very easily accessible in the open world, no challenge.
- Goldbricks were removed also. Less things to collect.

I'll edit my pros and cons as I continue playing.
