It's a boring and ugly game. It's not that the graphics are bad, it's the visual style that's muddy, dark and uninteresting. Lara lacks personality, just like in the previous two games. The story is dull, there's only so many times I can be reminded of her daddy issues.

The good things I can think of is that the stealth is surprisingly well done and entertaining. There's generally little combat though, so the main focus is on exploration and puzzles, as it should be in a Tomb Raider game.

This game was very hyped and I expected to be blown away by it. I guess the good parts are the graphics, the nordic lore and the portrayal of schizophrenia.

On the other hand the game mechanics are very annoying. Something as simple as running feels broken. You need to hold a button to run, but the character will often just walk anyway because that's what the devs wanted in that area.

There are puzzles where you match symbols to scenery. These are very frustrating, sometimes you have to look at branches, other times it's something random like light or shadows on the ground. You never know what to expect with these and it devolves into running around aimlessly hoping to notice something.

There's a character who explains the nordic mythology as you play. He's mentored Senua and during the game he appears as visions to her. It seems to be actual live footage of the actor and it feels out of place and corny like in a cheap TV show.

The combat is pretty basic and I only fought one enemy type so far. Most of the time you don't fight anyway, you just try to run (and walk slowly instead) from area to area, trying to solve boring puzzles and hearing voices, which also got old fast.

Maybe I'll try again some other time, but for now I'm very disappointed.

Terrible port, even with the mod. Had to disable V-Sync just to remove the massive input lag. Had to restart the game 2 times to adjust various settings in the Nvidia control panel, losing all progress because the first save is very late. Third time the game just hanged. Avoid, or play on the consoles.
