I've only put in about 4 hours into Valheim so far, but wow, I’m already hooked. The game throws you into this gorgeous Viking afterlife, and it’s all about surviving, exploring, and thriving. I love how chill the Meadows are—it’s the perfect place to start chopping trees and building your first base. And when you step into the Black Forest? Things start getting real. The visuals are stunning for a game with such simple graphics, and the soundtrack? Chef’s kiss.

I managed to take down Eikthyr (easily), and that boss fight alone has me hyped for what’s next. Building my little house for the first time was such a vibe. The only small downside is the inventory feels a bit tight, but honestly, that’s a minor gripe for how immersive the game is. I can’t wait to dive back in and explore the Swamps and beyond. If the first few hours are this good, I can only imagine what’s in store.
