This game took me by surprise.
Expecting a regular deck building game, I got an immersive story telling game with an incredible world with a strong ambiance and soundtrack that just keeps giving.
There were lots of twists that made it even more entertaining to both play and watch.

One of the hardest games I have ever played... Constant stressful situations with long levels and no checkpoints... I f****ing love it. Buy it. You'll also love it.

Looking forward to the official release and future updates!

Game seemed quite interesting and spooky at first, but quickly we discovered that the AI is ridiculously stupid and that you can basically just run around and get all the items you want. You can literally draw circles around the enemy and be fine. If you have too much aggro, you just hide, even just right in front of them, and it works!

There is a stronger mob that will attack you from time to time and try to kill you, but once again you just need to hide as soon as you here the noise.

The objectives are a basic collection of items spread over the map that is randomized every game; this does help keep every game fresh. Some even have puzzles that have to be solved to be collected

Overall the game has potential, especially that they are aiming to release to more maps and have time to fix the things that are lacking. Until then, my review will stay negative.

Great waiting simulator! The waiting makes it hype the smaller the queue number is! 10/10 would wait again!

DISCLAIMER: this review is intended as of the release of chapter 4. This game has a lot of potential and I will change my recommendation to yes if it improves that way!

Okay so after playing it (max chapter 4), the whole game has a scary vibe to it that leaves quite fast. The story is not that good and leaves a lot to offer. Though, I feel like a break down if each chapter is necessary as they all have their own map, vibe, monsters, and a main puzzle, so to begin:

Chapter 1: Intro to the game, has a spooky vibe as you don't know what to expect, not much happens though but that is fine as it is the start. The puzzle is simple and forces you to explore the map and have your first meeting with a monster.
Monster interactions are subpar along the whole game, and that starts from chapter 1: You meet a monster, you will die most of the time, but soon you will realise nothing bad happens from it (no downside except going back to checkpoint). You don't lose items, you spawn back at the last checkpoint, and that's about it. Once you have died to a monster, the whole fear of it is gone because there is nothing more to it.

Chapter 2: Definitely the best chapter out of the 4 by far. There are various puzzles to solve, a massive maze, and two monsters that have their own personality. This actually feels like a challenge and adds a little touch of stress by having the constant feeling they are right behind you when trying to solve a puzzle.

Chapter 3: On this one, the monster needs some MAJOR fixing. Let me explain why: I played it in duo, but the monster only followed me. So I would stay in a safe point, and he would just patrol right in front of me, unable to hit me. This lets my friends explore the whole map and solve the puzzle without any problem. For anyone thinking I was trying to just stay safe, I wasn't. He was right in front of me 90% of the time. Also the puzzle of this map, is less of a puzzle, more like you're trying to find a bunch of tiny items to get to the next stage.

Chapter 4: This is the most tedious chapter by far. The vibe of the whole map is great, not going to lie, but the whole thing about seeking small tiny keys all over the plays is just annoying. When arriving at the place to put the keys and seeing all of the whole for them, I just gave up and went to bed. Demoralizing really. The monsters are spooky but too easy to outrun/lose. Plus their killing animations aren't done yet so it's just a black screen.

You would expect an enhanced version to work better than the original.
But this one has so much multiplayer lag and graphical glitches and bugs that the "slight (and I mean very slight) graphical upgrade is not worth it.

Just get the play the regular one.

Between the gameplay, the story, the visuals, and the infinite possibilities, this game is just amazing. It sounds odd that you would want to play a game that literally makes you restart the whole thing everytime you die, but the story makes you want to continue and also, if you love challenges, you'll be served as it gets harder and harder. Also have to point out that I find it amazing that they keep the whole path refreshing by adding small things that keep it interesting (e.g. after beating a certain boss 20 times, the MC decides to name him, thus replacing his original name for the rest of the game.)

Not a lover of solo games, but I will definitely spend a lot more time on it.

This game is pure fun if you're looking to have a good time!

Servers are a bit overwhelmed at the beginning but hopefully that'll be fixed soon, as it is, in my opinion the biggest issue with the game.

Other than that, I could spend hours playing it!

This game started off amazing, another counter strike. Now it is just a game mixed between terrible servers in cheap locations that give unfair advantage on 64 ticks and loot boxes for the 0.00001% hope of getting a skin that would cost a few thousand bucks. Oh and let us not forget the toxic community filled with people that will insult you and flame and at you for no reason followed by a reporting system that is quite honestly useless.

How to ruin a game that has brought a huge amount of people to the gaming community over the years.

EDIT: CS2 brings in a new wave of issues, with an even larger amount of hackers, the new sub-tick "you see what you get" system which definitely does not work, and servers that are somehow still worse. How do I get placed on a Dallas server when I am in EU and have a max ping restriction to 30? but yes, keep releasing new lootboxes and nothing new. Valve has turned to ♥♥♥♥ when all its player base are helping them, and they are doing nothing but money greeding in return.
