I'm a huge fan of survival games and I think it's fair to say I've played them ALL! This game is in a league of its own!

First things first: Do NOT pay attention to any negative reviews here. (Especially those who got a refund after 90 minutes of playtime or those complaining that it's a cheap version of 7 days to die: not even remotely close)

Yes, this is in alpha, but WOW is all I can say at this stage. This one has all the elements of all my favorites all rolled into one with exciting and brilliant features I've never seen before in any other game!!! I have to applaud the developer on this one!

I love to scavenge and find goodies and in this game there's so much to be found, you'll have to pick & choose what to take at any given time. The crafting is very, very extensive. There are SO many recipes to find and unlock as well as boatloads of crafting stations, hence the abundance of loot to be found. As you progress, you will learn what's important to pick up on any of your ventures out into the world.

The building system is unique. Take a moment to learn how it works before jumping the gun and saying it's no good, blocks don't snap together etc. The discord channel is very helpful and you will find the guidance needed, if you struggle to figure it out on your own.

There's always something to look forward to unlocking and expanding your base. Resources are plentiful as are the threats, which might just make this the best survival game I've ever played. The developer is hard at work continuing to make this gem shine and you will certainly be missing out on something special if you don't add this to your library! Hop on their discord channel, keep up with the goings on, get your questions answered, get a sneak peak at what's currently in the works, offer your ideas, server need a reboot? Just shout out! It's the most active and attentive channel I've come across!

You get lots of different zombies, skeletons, AI bandits, (they will hunt you down and take you OUT so beware) vicious bears, wild boar, (you can kill them for meat but be quick or they'll attack) deer roaming about (plenty of meat to be found) Toxic fat mutants (they will poison you) gigantic spiders, alien creatures and so much more that I have yet to discover! I mean honestly, this has never been done! A spectacular mix of everything you could ever want in a survival game (and soon we'll be able to drive)

You will earn XP while you play, you will be able to increase/enhance everything in your character from hunger cap, thirst cap, health, weight cap, aiming, stamina and more!

They are currently working on fully functioning vans. You'll have to find parts and repair them, of course, but the possibilities are endless.

I've put over 100 hours into this game and I've barely made a dent in the map! It's HUGE! There is so much to see, so much to do and so much fun it's almost impossible not to become obsessed.

For those reviewers complaining about the lack of servers: There ARE servers and yes it's true, they're not in the U.S. (yet), but they function just fine and as I'm logging in from Texas, I never have any issues with lag or performance on the server. More servers will be coming. New updates are currently being tested and people just need to chill out and enjoy the game and remember that it's alpha. It'll be easy to forget that fact, because this is so far ahead of any alpha survival games I've tried.

I have zero issues in performance! Make sure you meet the specs and I imagine that the recommended specs would be the goal because there is so much going on in this game! The weather is LEGIT, world audio is outstanding. Pay attention to the time in-game. Night comes and it's DARK. Typically that's the best time to get some crafting done back at base, while you're fending off the night time vicious hordes! Don't wander about too much in the dark, the threats are everywhere!

Multiplayer absolutely DOES work! For those that complained about that in other reviews, it's possible that it was prior to this feature! I play co-op all the time.

Kudos again to the developer and please do yourself a favor and just buy it!

Your gaming life will never be the same!

**UPDATE** Just about 400 hours in game so far and since my original review, a major update came along as well as a patch or two. The game just keeps getting better.

It's smoother than ever. The vans can be driven, but passenger access is not here yet. There are still a few bugs with them currently being worked out. TONS of new building blocks have been added and there's even more to come!

There's an official US server with more to come. Just wanted to mention the ease of setting up your own local server, which is always my preference. They have a thread in the discord channel specifically for setting up your own server and once again, they will help you if you have any issues in the setup.

Suggestion for those who have complained about the building system in other reviews, please take the time to learn how it works! It IS unique and not quite like what were used to but once you get a groove you'll appreciate having something different for a change. (Tip: Aim at the dots when placing your block, rotate until it snaps) it's not rocket science, just something different! :) Look for Survimad on YouTube, his videos are very helpful (and fun to watch)

Happy Surviving!

I just love this game. As a big fan of survival games, it's got most of the elements I look for in this genre.

I started out with the story (which has since grown) but I was able to get a feel for the game play. Then I dove into a survival game, (multiplayer works fine with no issues). I had to start out slow, no tribesmen, and no vicious animals lol The rattlesnakes do enough damage, and I think this was a good phase 2 for me as I was able to get a grip on the most important part "Staying alive" Keeping my health up and what to do when I'm sick or dying! I enjoy the crafting menu, and the building menu. The more you explore and discover on the map, the more you unlock in your crafting book. I look forward to more updates along the way. Next phase will be starting a new game with all the threats enabled and a couple of people on my team with me! There are no performance issues, runs smooth, looks stunning! Highly recommended

This game is surprisingly good. Crafting system is a bit of a challenge to learn but once you get a groove you're all set. It's actually quite impressive. There is so much to do, so much to see and explore. Takes a while to gather up the required materials to actually be able to get to another planet but it's a lot of fun along the way. There's a LOT to do and see on your starting planet so you'll never get bored. I would recommend playing with friends because there's so much to do. One of the best features of this game is the built in server set up, very easy to use. Highly recommended

This is a GREAT early access survival game. I believe that in single player mode, there are less issues than multiplayer/co-op. My preference on a busy-work survival game, is to play with a friend or two. This game, in it's current state, is not fully functional for MP mode. There seem to be no such issues fo the person hosting, but the player who joins the host, they're going to suffer. I have no regrets on the purchase. Amazing potential here. Looking forward to future updates and fixes for the multiplayer modes.

At times, the busy-work does get to be a little tedious. I think some of the crafting is a bit excessive and should require less resources to get the job done. That said, there's so much to do! The wild animals can be pretty brutal early on, you should have a few days without them before they start to spawn. Be sure to craft a bow and arrows and never be without!

The map is HUGE and there are many islands to explore. Caves were tricky to find at first but once you can identify them you'll be all set.

I would highly recommend this game if you're a survival game fan. Just remember it's in early access so of course there will be bugs. There's a big update coming soon and I'm quite anxious to dive in!

If you're like me, and prefer to play with friends, grab it when it's on sale and wait it out, you won't regret the purchase.

Fun times!

As a big fan of survival games, I'm quick to recognize a games great potential, even in early access. I never give up on them but sometimes I have to set it aside and eagerly await further updates. I noticed this game was just OUT of early access so I grabbed it and couldn't wait to check it out.

I was a bit baffled as I had to double check to make sure I wasn't losing my mind, this WAS, in fact, no longer in early access.

What?? No way!

This was a boring empty map. I wandered aimlessly looking for SOMETHING to let me know this was a game. I found a decrepit bunker type of structure and hoped to find something to loot. Found a couple of random and useless items but carried on. Walked uneventfully Northbound only to hit the edge of the map. I turned and headed South East. Found another identical structure but scored no loot. I continued...... came across a boar and killed him effortlessly. Yay! Something's happening here! I got 5 meat from this beast. Continued on to find 4 more boar, each yeilding 5 meat. I had a ton of meat. Big whoop! Nothing going on, nothing to find, nothing to scavange. Nothing at all.

I'm patient though, with these survival games, so I kept going. Again, I ran out of map. Disappointment looming over me but I turned around and headed West. I wondered when I would SEE something, other than a boring empty map. I spotted a 'creature' in the distance, just one, roaming solo across the vacant land. I thought I'd go take him down, since killing a boar was basically effortless, maybe this will be a little struggle with a victorious win. Wrong! The ♥♥♥♥♥ took me down in one fell swoop. I was dead.

In hind sight, it was actually a relief to die because this game was just painful. I don't care about the cost. I know, I know, "you get what you pay for" but honestly, this wasn't worth the whopping $3.99 pricetag, in fact, it's not worth a 99 cent pricetag. It's just a big waste of time! Oh and don't forget disappointing! Not even a LITTLE potential here.

On a positive note: If you are brand new to gaming on a PC and wish to find your groove "walking" around a game using WASD and a mouse, then this is YOUR GAME!
