Ah, Dark Souls 2. A fantastic game. I have a ton of hours on the Xbox 360, and man am I glad to have it on PC :D A lot of people are comparing it to Dark Souls 1. Well, it's a Souls game. Thats about where the comparison stops. It's a great game, but it isn't Dark Souls 1.5. If that's what you're looking for, you might be dissapointed, if not, you're in for a real treat. The game is great, the combat feels tight, controls are a bit more refined (like clicking the analog stick for jumps!! No more random jumping).

There isn't an obvious story, as with the other Souls games, but there is more dialogue than before. If you've played a Souls game, you will have a good advantage with the combat system. If not, a bit of practice and you can learn it.

You're looking at about 50 hours, depending on how you play. Exploring, backtracking, and cooping (which is more fun than ever before!) can lengthen the game time.

As with Dark Souls 1, you most likely want a controller. The mouse and keyboard controls are leagues ahead of DkS1, but the game is just more natural with a controller.

So I suppose you're waiting for me to say something bad right? Well, at points the game felt cheap every once in a while. Nothing too bad, just a few one hits that were like "Hmm, that wouldn't have happened in DkS1." But hey, its Dark Souls right? If you're into the PvP, invaders can't heal while hosts can, which can be frustrating. In the arenas (small duels, like what was in the Artorias DLC) both players can heal. Aside from that, I had no huge gripes with the game. I never got to a point where I just wanted to throw a controller or anything.

As for how it runs, I am running a AMD 3870K, GTX 760, and 4GB of RAM, and it maxes easily. I have heard from friends it runs on most PCs. With the new GeDoSaTo mod from Durante (the same dude that DSfix, miracle worker) you can implement some really nice AA, AO, and downscaling. With these turned up and a 1440p downscale, the game looks great and never drops below that 60fps on my system.

In short, this is an experience you don't want to miss out on. If you are still on the edge, wait for one of those steam sales! Its a game you won't regret playing.

Borderlands 2 has to be one of my favorite games of all time. I have over 1000 hours on xbox and few hours here on PC. Its still fun to just jump in and shoot some things. If you havent experienced this game, grab the GOTY edition and play through with a friend. It is geniunely funny and has some great action and gameplay. Totally worth it!!!
