A fantastic roguelike. Hopefully they add more maps and item interactions, maybe some permanent stat gains.

Whatever they end up doing, it will be great. Many available styles of play, and they all feel good.

Game breaking bugs galore, softlocked in the first 15 seconds of gameplay. No save mechanic. Don't play.

Arbitrary vertical projectiles.

If there's a shadow below the projectile, doesn't mean it won't hit you if you are "underneath it."

Also agree with other reviews stating balance is incredibly... well, lacking.

Good for a few minutes, but trying to complete the collection log? Maybe try something else.

Fantastic visuals and audios, tough combat, rewarding exploration and progression--this is a good one for sure.

Fantastic game; decent replay-ability.

Make sure to make a save pre-PONR. If you aren't sure what I mean, just make a save before giving the turtle to shegor . It will save you a TOOOON of trouble if you care about achievements :P

Aside from the above, a WONDERFUL third person action-adventure game. One of my favorites, for sure. Definitely pick it up! Highly optimized. Preforms well on lower-spec systems, gamepad compatible--a buy for any gamer's collection.

The Messenger is a fantastic experience that I highly recommend to any players loving a challenge, quirky yet well executed story, and a uniquely stylized visual and audio experience akin to many games of similar concept.

Not only does this offer many hours of unexpected additional content, but the replayability is there as well.
Definitely worth the purchase; I also bought the soundtrack.
