Meh. After really enjoying Chime, this game is just more of the same but with different songs. Unfortunately, very few of the songs are all that unique or interesting to me.

Guacamelee is a platform brawler with a solid, simple combat system that provides depth while also allowing for plenty of combos. The world also follows a Metroidvania style structure which gives you lots of places to explore as well as plenty platforming puzzles that make good use of the control scheme. I highly recomend a controller.

The game also contains plenty of humour with a ton of references to games like Metroid, VVVVV and Castle Crashers to internet memes.

2 player local co-op is also available.
