A little over half-way through the story right now and thought I'd write my review after seeing all the negative here. I think those reviews are really undeserved! Wuk Lamat is misunderstood and.. this might be a bit of a spoiler.. but you can literally express this in the story to Gulool Ja Ja, and he thinks so to. You come to learn the real reason the contest exists and the facets alongside it. The new jobs are very well made! Viper's ability to disengage from the boss at quite a distance and still maintain a lot of damage output if you've built the resources for it. And vicariously hearing it from my friend, Picto seems really busted and has a whole lot of potency! Which makes up for its lack of a resurrection ability like most of the other casters. The twist I've encountered and the hardships and redemptions I've witnessed along the way so far are brilliant for the first story of a new saga. It's definitely a start and I am looking forward to seeing what's on the end of this horizon and what's to come in future expansions.

I will update this review if I think otherwise. There are too many skippers, rushers, and pessimistic people on this review section that are just looking for something to complain. Enjoy the story. I certainly am and I recommend it!

This game was so lovely. I want more!! Definitely just play this game and get wrapped up in exploring the urban area and all its little cosy and adorable interactions you find along the way. I could definitely play this forever if there was more content - I just wish there was! I would probably rate it a 9/10, and the only thing that's holding it back from a 10 is how buggy the game is sometimes. My big pile of phones I stole from people suddenly disappeared right under my nose, climbing can be fiddly where normal climbing spaces just push you right off where it shouldn't have, and some achievements are buggy such as Fruit Fall (the stupid humans just don't want to trip on the bananas!) and Local Celebrity where I took a pair of scissors to shock people for attention, but those with phones were in either one of two states - successful on first encounter and my photo is taken or constantly shocked and scared, running away from me. Maybe the latter is a bit unfair, but it's really inconsistent. I was waiting for ages, farming the humans that would pass that I got used to how and where the game would spawn the NPCs.

All in all despite its faults, I do think people should play this game! It's a lovely little treat.

I am still using this software as I write this. However, in its current state, I cannot recommend this to anyone I know because the developers need to improve this app's integration with games and for users like myself with multiple monitors. I use this app a lot and love its functionality, although I want to see them break boundaries and make further improvements/additions.

Here are some of the problems I face: when my game is in the borderless window mode, the finder and dock disappear. Hovering on the top and bottom edges won't work as neither the dock nor bar will appear.

When I make videos full-screen on my second monitor and go to focus on a window on my first monitor, the myfinder bar pops up on the second monitor, which is distracting and takes up space.

The auto-hide option for the myfinder bar only works on the primary monitor. If you try hovering your cursor at the top of any secondary monitor, the bar will not appear.

Regarding the first problem, I think the developers should find a way to let users access the myfinder bar or dock on the same monitor as a fullscreen game, and these facilities should auto-hide when not in use.

As per my second problem, I have a myfinder bar option enabled where it appears on all monitors. However, if I have a game or video set to fullscreen, I would prefer it where the myfinder bar or dock would appear when hovering my cursor at the edge of the screen.

Lastly, for the third problem, the auto-hide function for the myfinder bar should be in effect across all monitors. When the user hovers over the edge of any monitor, these bars should show up again and not just on the primary monitor.

If the developers were to fix all the problems above, I would change my recommendation from a no to a yes.

The immense atmosphere of a small bustling village cradled in between the mountains that creates a mesmerising horizon, is also enhanced by the emotion of the people Alex meets and the music focused through a timely lens in several elements all throughout its chapters, or even in the background. This game astoundingly captures those bittersweet and sometimes slightly perfectly cringey moments in our life like the first game did for Max and Chloe. As Alex, the protagonist of this story, is in possession of an ability this time around - it brings back memories to solving the puzzling encounters the first game brought with the life surrounding Max, unlike not truly being in control of a super power such as Chloe in Before the Storm, or Sean in 2.

Where 1 was about the butterfly effect, and Before the Storm was about ego (+trust between friends), and 2 was about role-models... 3 (True Colors) is about empathy, but it's also about making choices for yourself. Alex is a very selfless individual and finds difficulty in making choices when she has to deal with her own emotions. Progressively, she improves throughout the chapters, but at one point she is faced with the trial of understanding the truth of her past, the people in her life, and the person she came to be, overall affecting her capability of overcoming a complex dilemma.

In the overall vibe of this game, for the most part it is laid back and more of an interactive motion picture. At other times, it really does reward patience with navigating every nook and cranny in different parts of each chapter for moments of musical bliss, or experiencing emotionally raw exchanges between the people you meet. Something a little uncanny valley was how prosthetic everyone's teeth looked, but other times I got over it for a bit; it wasn't too distracting, though just a bit disturbing.

Ceremoniously as a Life is Strange fan, I have to say the music and vibes were hella good, the scenes/atmosphere had me in envy, plus there were some sweet and immersive interactions between the characters.

Bravo Dontnod and Square Enix - next, I will be trying the Wavelengths DLC.

You can only customise your hair, face, and voice, but your body? Nope. There are TOO many tutorials with walls upon walls of text dumped in your face and every other interaction is another tutorial menu with more text. I feel like there is way too much information thrown into my face that I can't even enjoy the game, plus there is so many things cluttered on the HUD, I tried removing most of it, and I still only see basically 60% of the screen. It took some friends to tell me where the hell I was supposed to go to start fighting something since that's not very intuitive. If you're looking for an open-world experience, this game definitely isn't it. It's just = Here's a list of a dozen things to fight, ah but first you have to go through 3-4 tiers of menus before you can select the thing you want to do. Ok great, so now that I'm fighting something... the game feels extremely sluggish when trying to take a swig of a potion, activate your "Demon mode", and other mundane things like trying to get on your dog... and the combat isn't anything interesting either. I'm just supposed to keep spamming the same two buttons in slightly different orders to pull off moves that look basically exactly the same. I am fascinated that the reviews for this game are mostly positive. This game gave me a headache.

As long as you treat the game as though it's in early access, you're gonna have a fun time along side the glitches. Hopefully, there aren't any complete game-breaking glitches for you in your run and I would suggest keeping multiple saves along the way because of the >8MB save-corruption.
