DayZ is the ultimate survival simulator. There's no other game that comes close.

Found a bandit wandering outside of the capital city.
I ride up to him on my horsey.
He says "huh?" as if he can hear something sneaky, but he makes no further reaction to me riding around him in circles.
I speak to him, flatter him with charisma so that we become bestest buds.
He starts to walk away and I follow him for a couple of minutes.
He then, without provocation, betrays our bonds of brotherhood and attacks me.
He, of course, meets the end all that all traitors deserve: death by glitching on a rock while my tamed wolf eats him alive.
11/10 - would rob the prison guards of all of their weapons and armour in their sleep again

Dark Souls with guns, a decent challenge until you level up your gear, great gameplay, aesthetic and sound design. 9/10

I’ve been meaning to write this review for two and a half years but have repeatedly put it off because I’ve been worried I wouldn’t be able to find the right words to express just how much this game means to me. From the moment I started playing three years ago I knew this game was something special. The gameplay loop, the awesome cosmetics, the aesthetic, the incredible randomly-generated maps, the mission variety, the music, the voice acting, the humour, the sacred V button. This game ticks every box and then some. A development team who not only care about their game and their community but actually listen, really listen to us and do their upmost to make our dreams a reality.

I’m a healthcare worker, a single guy in my mid-thirties who worked throughout the pandemic and had to deal with some horrific stuff, not to mention the anxiety caused by fear for my own personal safety, especially in those early days when covid was much less known about. DRG was my escape. Not only did it entertain me but it helped keep my mental health in balance during a time of high stress. I can’t praise this game enough, it really has been a rock (and stone) in my life over these past few years

Do yourself a favour, buy this game, have an enormous amount of fun and support these wonderful developers.

Rock & stone forever!
