A vast bug-ridden adventure prioritising quantity over quality. Fall Out: New Vegas never quite gets going and ends up a frustratingly dull trek through a desert wasteland ocassionally interrupted by unexplainable crashes to the desktop. For a game approaching ten years old New Vegas hasn't aged well at all.

With Fallout 76 in the headlines and subject to much debate I decided to finally play New Vegas which I'd bought in a sale years ago after enjoying Fallout 3. Perhaps my tastes have changed or I am less patient but New Vegas provided nowehere near the enjoyment of Fallout 3.

Most end-game quests ended up an exercise of fast travel between sets of characters to speak on their behalf (or just wipe them out). Even the climatic end battle at the Hoover Dam was drawn out and forgettable. Rather than checking out the DLC packs I simply opted to finish the game and move on.

I'm no fan of RPGs but I definitely won't be returning to New Vegas.
