Coming from older rune factory series, I found this game to be quite unpolished, especially in its environment design. There are large, empty spaces with little to no detail scattered throughout the world. Compared to older 3D rune factory games like Rune Factory: Frontier (which released on 2008) I could say that this game have worse graphic and environment design, The difficulty scaling also really bad, as it doesn’t get creative with new boss skill or anything

That's being said, in terms of gameplay, it’s still a Rune Factory game, and the gameplay loop remains enjoyable, it's a recipe for success. And don't get me started on the voice actor I really think they spent most of their budget on voice actor and neglect other things, definitely need more voice lines tho

I’d personally recommend playing Rune Factory 4 Special first to experience the best this franchise has to offer. However, starting with Rune Factory 3 or Rune Factory 5 is also worthwhile, as both provide an enjoyable experience
