7 years since StS1 and I've played it on and off pretty much every month since I did the 100% achievements, own the game on every device possible.

Slay the Spire 2 is just more of the first, but with new awesome animations, obviously heaps of new cards, relics and enemies, plus there's 4 player coop with the bois now

I'm only about 10% in at the time of writing this review but I cannot recommend Mewgenics highly enough. I've been a long time fan of other McMillen titles, particularly Isaac, but holy crap it's hard to explain just how good this game is so far. It has every single element of the normal gross elements and crude humour you would expect if you're familiar with past titles, but the game itself has a deep complexity and a genuinely insane amount of content. I can truly see that this is a roguelite where every run will not just "feel different" as they always seem to market in every roguelike. The runs so far don't even feel similar, each 4 of my cats get different abilities every run, I'm fighting different enemies and getting heaps of random trinkets and items and ♥♥♥♥. The home base element is a mix between trying not to inbreed cats and also making them a comfy home and min-max your new kitties stats every day, and the injuries and mutations (which I haven't even BEGUN to comprehend) add this crazy Darkest Dungeon vibe.

I'm giving this game a 9/10 so far and I'm so excited to see how many hours I end up playing

EDIT: 50 hrs in, just starting to actually dip my toes into Act 2 and engage in some more of the games systems, absolutely balls to the wall amazing, thankyou Ed for this game

Excellent game and story, from soundtrack to visuals & with a stellar voice acted cast. Honestly on par if not way better with the memories of the earliest telltale games

If you don't have a high end pc I'd wait for some performance patches.
However, I'm playing with a 3080 and a 5900x @ 1440p, first planet my framerate was consistently around 48-50. As soon as I reached the second planet, they shot to 90+ consistently.
The gameplay is better in every way than the gameplay was in Fallen order imo

I've spent 80+ hours shooting balls at pegs, try it
