The overall idea of the War Sails DLC is solid, and the graphics are great; however, the execution is poor. The entire DLC is bug-ridden and feels more like an open beta than a PAID, EXPENSIVE DLC. Some examples of the more severe bugs include:

1. If the ballista on the ship gets destroyed while you are using it on the quarterdeck, you become stuck in its perspective with no way to exit, other than closing the game.

2. The number of land troops allowed in your army changes when you are at sea, displaying a false value. For example, your party may be limited to 312 troops, but once you sail, the game tells you that your land army can hold 420 troops, which is incorrect. If this number is exceeded, the extra troops will desert.

The DLC also changes some core game mechanics, such as hideouts, which now must be completed solo with poor-quality armor and weapons. This is, quite frankly, frustrating and unnecessary. Why can’t I bring my troops like before the DLC? Moreover, troops that join you after the stealth phase do not gain any XP during hideouts. The loot has also been severely weakened, making hideouts not worth the time investment.

The DLC also altered how the “retreated to the keep” mechanic works. Now, if you are killed during a siege and cannot re-enter the battle due to low health, you must choose to “send the troops,” just like before. However, prior to the DLC, the battle would be reasonably balanced. Now, most of the time, the game allows you to send only 19 troops to fight a force of 200–300 enemies that have retreated to the keep. If those 19 troops fail, your entire army is destroyed and you lose. Previously, you could send several waves of troops into the keep; now, you cannot.

Moreover WHY DOES POLAND a nation of lesser wealth have to PAY MORE than Germany, Britain or any other country, with the exception of Switzerland the RICHEST country in Europe?

Quite an expensive game considering the dlc, but very fun. Consider buying at some discount.

Very nice

The game works well, even on weaker PC. The gameplay is fun and entertaining. The operations (paid DLC) are worth it due to the valuable rewards.
