This game is a sloppy mashup of several different shooters out there, with a weird style that I don't find appealing. I thought the hate may have been unwarranted, as the gameplay trailer looked like it may be fun, but it just isn't. Even after you get past a couple of confusing matches trying to figure out the play loop, it's just not satisfying in any way. It's free, so maybe give it a shot and see for yourself, but hard pass for me. Total flop.

This is one of the best FPS games I've ever played, and by far the best tactical FPS. Most tactical FPS I have tried in the past go so far down the road of realism, it just isn't even fun. Hell Let Loose has the perfect mix of realism and enjoyability. Rifles one shot most at less than 200m. Recoil kicks hard on automatics, but is manageable with some practice. The tactical gameplay is brilliant, and the maps are perfect size to make the 50v50 combat feel chaotic but not always overwhelming. When everyone is engaged and communicating (which happens more often that not in my 1200+ hours), it is a cinema like masterpiece that will give you moments you'll chase like that first drop of heroin in your veins.

There are some negatives, however. The movement can be really clunky and rigid at times, and traversing the map in some areas just doesn't make sense, as a small rock may stop you in your tracks, or falling from 6 feet makes you bleed. There is a random bug that hits you occasionally, and your frames drop to 5 per second, making the game unplayable until it decides to work itself out. The Engineers building mechanic is LONG overdue for an overhaul, as placing structures can be frustratingly difficult as the terrain blocks you for no apparent reason, making the majority of the places you would need these structures unbuildable. The machine gun bipod loves to not deploy where you need it, or just refuse to let you look up, down, left, or right when it absolutely should.

All those things aside, this game is worth every penny if you have a little patience to figure out the game mechanics, and are prepared to be slaughtered like the newb you are until it clicks. Stick with your squad, use your mic, and ask lots of questions.

This game sucks. Definitely not worth $50 for early access, or even as a full release with a subscription. No MMORPG is pushing the boundaries enough to dethrone the greats. It always feels so old and half baked, with systems that sound great on paper, but don't play out. With ♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphics and animations. We're in 2025, who is going to make the next badass MMO? Probably not these people.

I really can't recommend this game, especially for the price. Is it better than 2042? Yes, everything was. However, once that fact starts to fade away, and the false feeling of, "we're so back!" drifts off into the sunset, you're left with the sad reality that this is just another AAA shooter with bare minimum effort.

This game is $80, and you have to wait a month for some of its biggest content to release, along with guns, maps, and the battle royal mode that people are so anxiously awaiting. JUST RELEASE THE CONTENT! That aside, the main game is just constant chaos that translates more into frustration than fun. There were several very serious bugs at launch that persisted for WEEKS after, including blatant hits from gunfire not hitting the target, and helicopters from one team, and sometimes both, not being able to be spawned the entire match. This shouldn't even be an issue for more than a 24 hour period in the AAA space. Another frustrating point is how LONG it takes to unlock anything. I have played for 22 hours, and 99% of that time I have played nothing but engineer. For the engineer class, I have unlocked the RPG, and a vehicle resupply box.... That is it. Also, note that the vehicle resupply box is nearly useless, as since there is no way to communicate with anyone outside of your squad, aside from the global text chat, you can't really tell them that it is there, so they just drive off and ignore it. Honestly, not that anyone really uses their microphones in this game anyway, because the game actively blocks communicating for teamwork. This would be able to be somewhat overlooked if the pinging system wasn't nearly garbage, and lackluster at BEST. The danger ping mostly just gets registered as the "look here" or "move here" ping that is green in color, not representing danger at all. Other than that, you have almost no options. You can either call for ammo, healing, repairs, or just say okay, thank you, and no... There are so many examples of good pinging systems out there, spend 15 minutes in one of these games and go back tot he drawing board.

Fact of the matter is, for an $80 game coming from a AAA studio with budgets of this magnitude, it just doesn't cut it. The great sound effects and graphics just aren't enough, and should be expected from these studios, but what also should be an expectation, are the negatives that I mentioned above being ironed out BEFORE launch, not months or years later when they decide to get around to it, and the people that wait and get the game for 35% to 50% off actually get what they're paying for. You're basically just screwing the people over that buy your game as soon as it releases.

I will admit, I was tricked into the purchase by the beta. What little I was shown gave me hope that this would be the Battlefield we've all been waiting for, but sadly, although it is better than 2042, just about every Battlefield release before was too, and it's not even close to a great Battlefield game.

Pretty fun game for $30, even solo. If you like building settlements, this game is a MUST for you. The building in this game is incredible, and easy for what it allows you to do. The combat is okay, and tough to get used to at first, but gets better over time. If you have a friend or two to play with, even better. Overall, a great survival game, and hope it gets better at full release.

One of the best single player RPGs I have played in a long time. You literally become Arthur Morgan, and at the same time, he becomes you. You meld into each other as you traverse this amazing story, where both of you will be slightly changed by this digital experience. The world is vast, and full of adventure. Random encounters continue to be that, random, and do not get too repetitive. The characters in the world become a part of your family, and you hate some, but love others. The ending leaves you in awe, partially sad it is over, but thankful to have taken part. Truly a gem of modern gaming, and sets the bar for the rest to come.

Just ignore the online ♥♥♥♥.

I was waiting to write a review until they released Season 2, hoping we'd get even the base amount of content that the older titles did, including the previous current gen adaptation of Modern Warfare. I am beyond disappointed. DMZ is a great new mode, but loses its shine fairly quick, eventually becoming a typical grind fest of contracts that are stupidly complicated and more frustrating than fun. Warzone was never my type of mode, so I don't factor that into this review. The base multiplayer, is the most lack luster ♥♥♥♥ they've ever produced. They literally gave us the most basic modes on a few maps. Ground War still doesn't hold a candle to Battlefield 4, and Invasion is just a good way to level up your marksman/sniper rifles that you're not really good at, to unlock the attachments you want for the guns you actually want to use.

Where is 1v1/2v2 Gunfight? Where did 3rd person moshpit go, and why can't we just filter the game modes we want to play? Where is gungame? A new raid? Why can't you just make the spec ops like the original MW series did? Those were fun and creative. Why did it take so long JUST to get Hardcore mode AND Ranked play? Honestly, what in the actual f*ck is going on here? Mind you, I'm also leaving out all the techincal issues, and the lack luster battle pass that can cost you as much as 30 f*cking dollars after you paid anywhere from $70-$100 for the game in the first place. I want to love this game so much, but it's so frustrating and confusing why so many things are missing.

Are you here for Warzone? Great, it's free, but those of us paying for the base game get the ♥♥♥♥ end of the stick. Does that make sense to anyone?
