Hard to recommend in its current state. The core gameplay is fun but its nothing special and there is a lot of quality of life missing. I'm thinking it will be much improved after some updates but for now I would say only buy if you are a big FromSoftware fan and always want to play their games.

This DLC is such a piece of garbage in every possible way. It's genuinely baffling how utterly terrible it is. Most people are familiar with how it completely broke the game at launch and how most of those issues are patched now, but even still most of the items are completely bugged or otherwise don't behave at all like their item descriptions imply. It's as if beginner programmers who had no interest whatsoever were the ones assigned to work on this DLC.

And aside from completely terrible programming, the actual game design is just trash. I could have done so much better designing all of the items myself. Only a few are actually good/interesting (mainly Sale Star lol). And don't even get my started on the new elite types.

My friends and I honestly just use a mod to disable the new elites and half the new items and it instantly makes the game 5x better.
0/10 I hope Gearbox never gets their hands on another IP again.

Elden Ring is great but Elden Ring's PvP made me miss Dark Souls 3 PvP lol

Ever want to obliterate yourself at the obelisk but you are too poor to buy Risk of Rain 2?

This game uses voice recognition. If you call the ghost an arsehole, it will be more likely to attack you lmao

This game is fun for a little bit, but it's not really worth paying for. The horse drifting aspect of the game isn't really that fun in my opinion and it's extremely punishing if you aren't completely precise in your execution which is discouraging. The fun part of the game happens when you reach a town with other players in it and you get to have a shoot out. Unfortunately that aspect of the game is too small of a percentage of your playtime to be worth it. There's also a great deal of bugs (some are game breaking), occasional cheaters, and severe lack of quality of life aspects.

Landfall likes to make little "joke games" every now and then and this fits perfectly within that pattern, but you can't use that as an excuse for lack of quality when you charge money for it. The reason I care enough to even write a review is because I really like Landfall games when they are done well, so this one is a bit disappointing. The concept is pretty cool and definitely original so I'll give them credit for that!
